Question about Maxtor OneTouch 4 500GB External USB 2.0 Hard Drive
I cannot plug the USB cable in as the port pushed itself into the device. How do I open the backup device?
Hi, this video should be helpful to you:
Once you have extracted the hard disk from the case you can either try resoldering/replacing the damaged USB connector/port or replace the shell/caddie with another one.

I had a similar problem - I had a blue screen after the initial install, it complained about the driver (ubinfo or something) and dumped it to physical memory.
Then when I tried to connect the drive the device didn't start. Uninstalling and reinstalling the driver didn't help.
Also on Windows 2003 server.
