Your question is incomplete. But since I see the trouble is with the "spood" I would suggest just reusing the spool from the Chinese wire. You can transfer all of it in a few minutes using a battery operated drill, 1/4-20 x 3-inch carriage bolt, 2 1/4 inch fender washers and a 1/4-20 nut (or two). Hold the new wire on a dowel or screwdriver (let your friend help). Spin the old spool on the drill using the bolt and other hardware mentioned. Be sure to wind it so that the feed direction will be correct, but I suspect the Chinese spool is not directional. Go slow and guide the wire with your fingers - wear cotton or leather glove.

Wires to big to fit in new coleman furnace breaker

Go to Home Depot, get a wire splitter for each wire coming in (probably 2). Then run #10 to the 30 amp breakers or #4 wire to the 60 amp breakers. Harder to explain than to do. Basically, what they do is act like a "Y" branch for wires; the existing #2 wire goes under 1 screw lug, the new #10 & #4 go together under the other lug. Another solution that I do often is reuse the bus bar from the old furnace on the new furnace, properly wrapped in 10- 20 mil tape! Hope this helps! Last note: use NoLox on ALL the connections, as electric furnace lugs get hot and tend to losten over time, causing arking that destroys the lugs. Also, I'd bet your old wires are aluminum and your new wires are copper- another reeason for No-Lox!!!

How do you hookup a universal hvac condeser motor the old one had a black wire, red and a brown wire plus the green&yellow ground the new one has a black wire a yellow then it has back connetor thats...

WHAT??? Did the new motor come with a wiring diagram? Typically you will either be using a "3 wire" connection or a "4 wire" connection. 3 wire is for using the existing capacitor (provided it's the right size), 4 wire is for using a separate capacitor. You should have 5 total wires on new motor HIGH/LOW/COMMON/CAP & CAP. Then possibly some separate wires for ground and rotation. The ground goes right where you mount the motor, rotation...make sure its blown up and out of the machine. 3 wires would be...1 SPEED 1 COMMON 1 CAP. 4 wire would be 1 SPEED 1 COMMON 2 CAPACITOR WIRES. Good Luck!!

Hello

Your cat5 will make up 4 pair. org/org/wht being one pair and so on.

So as long as you keep them in pairs you will be ok.

Meaning. Pair one from cat5 org and org/wht to wall plate wht and brn. This would be one complete pair.So the wall plate colors are different from cat5 but as long as you stay in pairs and go from left to right on your conections you should be ok.

Providing modem output to house addition

Looking at the image in the link below, your computer only uses the orange pair and the green pair. You could break out the blue pair and brown pair and actually run 2 separate phone lines through this cat5e cable also. For reference this image is shown with the end of the plug facing you. The only issue I see with this is to make sure you know which 4 wires you are using in the 12 wire cable and connect the orange pair and green pair to the same wires on both ends. (Do the same with the blue pair and brown pair for your phone line.) If you need any further assistance please feel free to contact me.

I'm wiring my home for phone & internet with a single cat 5 wire. Is this possible

Hi mcdevitta,

I know that the internet will need to use a cat 5, but I don't think a phone will work on a cat 5 wire. A phone wire is a modular 4 wire cord, Now if you purchase VOIP type phones then yes you only need a cat5.

Good Luck,

Mark

Cat5 has eight wires, anything less is for telephone. Your cabe is for telephone if it has 4 wires. Either return the cable and get 8-wire cat5 or go to another store for your cat5 wire.

Not working pHone

The Legend system uses pins 543and 6 as a two pair. In a 568B configuration, those are the blue and green pairs. If your house cable is wired straight through, it should be easy to use 4 conductor cables to the phone and to the modules.
