Question about Lakewood Dryers

Open Question

I'm trying to clean the Lakewood Air Circulator, Model WC2000. The Instructions say to insert flat screwdriver into 4 locking tabs, but can't find the tabs! Help please

Model WC2000, purchased in 2009. The front plastic cover seems to be one piece. I cannot find the "locking tabs" in which I'm supposed to insert a flat screwdriver and unlock the tabs. I'm giving it away tomorrow, and really MUST clean it.

I've been asked to add details. First, this is not like a regular fan, with a metal "cage". The covers, front and back are plastic, and sit in a plastic frame. The manufactures, Lakewood, call it an "air circulator" and not a fan. I don't what additional details I can provide.

SOURCE: Lakewood 16" Pedestal Fan- Control Switch gone bad (probably)-

I have seen a number of oscillating fans where the push-pull knob just pulls off. It will require a serious pulling effort - straight up. Do Not use any tools. You may have to have a helper hold the fan while you pull the knob.

After the knob comes off, push the shaft back down with your finger to allow it to clear the housing.

How do I take apart fan

Hi, if you look inside the grill from the back side, you will see there are small snaps inside near the edge of the cover. The snaps go around the entire cover and are about 3-4" apart.
I used a flat tip screwdriver to get push the tab up from the back and the inside of the grill. When you push up the tab a bit, then slide a small flat tip screwdriver on the outside lip of the front grill. You will have to do this all the way around until the cover snaps off. Putting it back on is a breeze because it just snaps together.

Try putting in central heat and air in your house don't rely on some basement heater then you will have a basement heater for when it get cold

I have a whispertone vacuum, different model #, but maybe instructions will be the same. Turns out I didn't need a new belt, just clean out the crud and reset overload protector. The instructions in the manual tell you to remove the light cover and bulb first. To do this, press in and lift both sides. Push in and turn bulb counterclockwise to remove. (you need to do this because the next step involves turning the unit over). This takes you to
Step 2. Unscrew the cover screws ( on either side of bulb).
Step 3. Turn unit over. To remove cover, insert screwdriver at cover tabs on both sides and twist to release tabs.
Step. 4 Turn unit right side up. Press handle release pedal and lower the swivel. Tilt cover forward from back until front snaps free.
Step 5. Carefully insert and twist screwdriver at each brush support to free brush from base.
Step 6. Remove worn belt.
Step 7. Slide brush supports off to check and clean brush support areas.

To replace belt: slide washers and brush supports onto brush assembly.
Install new belt over motor drive, then over brush sprocket.
Snap brush supports into place on base. Be sure brush supports are not upside down.
Line up front of cover and base. Rest cover on front edge of base. Tilt cover to back. Press cover firmly until side tabs snap into place. Replace cover screws, light bulb and light cover.

How to open keyboard

look for a thin piece of plastic strip that runs the full width of the keyboard near its top. Pry this off gently starting with a jewelers screwdriver (careful not to score plastic). after this is out, lift the keyboard out and disconnect the electric flex circuit.
