Question about Sewing Machines
It is a good sound machine. but where it's so old there isn't a manual to it. my grandmother gave me this machine and I would really like to be able to use it.
Hello Amy, I can try to walk you through this one. Install your thread spool on the spool pin. Feed the thread through the rear curly-Q thread guide to the left of the spool. Bring the thread towards you and through the front curly-Q thread guide. Pull the thread downward and past the thread tensioner. Wind the thread clockwise and to the left between the tension discs. Now pull the thread upward bypassing the take up spring and pull until the thread gets trapped in the thread keeper slot just left of center near the top of the tensioner. Now pull the thread downward past the take up spring and than upward to the left of the take up spring and behind the horizontal thread guide. Proceed with the thread through the take up arm. Straight down and behind the horizontal thread guide again to the thread guide just to the left of the needle screw. Thread the needle from front to back and underneath the presser foot. Now you are good to go. A PIECE OF CAKE.

This site is the only place I could locate a manual, but it is not the exact model number. Some manuals will serve more than one model - ask before you buy.

I found your manual available at the following website:
It's available for download for a small fee (less than $10). I hope this helps you.

Don't know if problem is resolved, but I put a Mont Ward sewing machine model # UHT 1460 on Washington DC Craigslist a few moments ago. Could not fix it, so am selling it for parts (something is wrong with bobbin assembly and I give up!!). If you just want the power cord and foot contact me through there and I will detach it and mail it to you--the postage shouldn't be too much for just those parts.

check with these sites and call them or email them about the part
