My cable is plugged Into the wall and the tv but my autoscan isn't picking up channels!!

There are several possible points of failure: your TV, the cable itself, the port on the wall, or components on the other side of the wall. Your best bet is to try to eliminate as many possibilities as you can.

If possible, try a different cable, or a different TV. If replacing both the cable and TV yield the same results, then you will likely have to call a technician from your cable provider.

Can't autoscan air channels

It is always possible the antenna is the issue but I have a suggestion to at least try.

With the remote direct enter a known channel like 08 enter and see if it goes there. If it does not either the signal or the TV tuner may be the issue---if it does go there you can go into TV menu and should find a add a channel feature--add the ones you want/need manually.

Plugged in, cable connected, turned on, says "No Signal"

OTA signal? Check your antenna orientation and if there are any tall objects that would interfere with the signal. (See antennaweb.org or tvfool.com for signal directions and distance to the station. antennaweb assumes an external antenna and is very conservative with station information.) Scan for channels with Menu > > (right arrow twice) up or down to AutoScan and hit enter. Use add channels to include stations with the antenna in a new direction.

If you are using the built-in antenna, you may not get digital signals. Try an external antenna (see above sites). Digital signals are enough or zero.

This TV doesn't have a cable tuner so a set top box would be needed for cable stations, check the box directions for the station you need to tune the TV to access the signal.

I hope this helps.

My set top box will no longer pick up certain channels such as itv and channel 4 stations !!

My set top box has setup menu, channels, autoscan to scan for channels. They changed some of the channels here after the original switch to digital, and a fresh autoscan was needed to again find the channels that moved. See if your box has autoscan for channels, and do it.

I just setup my 42" 1080p proscan tv I have Direct tv and can not get a signal.

Okay most settop direct TV boxes go into a coaxle connector in the back of your TV witch then your Tv would need to be on channel 3 make sure channel 3 is detected by autoscanning for it or undeleting it if its been deleted but make sure the direct tv box is on and running.

If you have them on the scant connectors make sure you on the right input on your TV control there should be a input button press that to scan through to find your direct tv box!

I hope this helps!

Hdtv qam tuner

More often than not the problem is with the Cable co. They ALWAYS blame the tv. I have had many many problems with the signal quality coming from that co. Here is the most likley cause. The cable signal is probably very Weak. This can be caused by a weak signal coming from the cabls co. or a bad cable inside your home. The age of the cable can effect the signal quality.Note: The cable co is only required to provide a Digital signal. Some companies allow free HD signals and some charge for that signal. The correct approach to this issue is to get with the Cox and ask the if they provide free Hd channels without a box. If they say no then you will have to get a HD cable box to watch HD programs. Themn if they say yes then you need to ask them to send out a tech and test the signal coming from the Head End all the way to your set. If the signal flucuates then you will get inconsistant scanning results.

No signal after autoscan for channels

Tv stations main channel is an addition of 1 (04-1) but can have up to 5 stations (4-1, 4-2,4-3,4-4,4-5). They may not have anymore then one, it is their choice. PBS usually has 2 or 3 channels
