You must first install an optional micro SD card. It is best to use a Class 10 type card. These cards are available from most stores that sell accessories for cameras, phones, and computers.

Once the card is installed, you can go to Storage and Access to set up the card. This can also be done under File Management.

You need to plug the blackberry into the computer and make sure 'mass storage mode' is on(options, settings, memory, mass storage) it will treat your BB as an external hard drive and allow you to get photos, video, music, etc off device memory

MY SAMSUNG SGH-D780 CAN'T BE CONNECTED TO MY PC AS THE MASS STORAGE MODE IN USB SETTINGS OF THE PHONE MENU IS DISABLED

If the USB mode is not activated then you must have already connected the USB cable to the PC. Disconnect it and then go in to your phone PC connection settings and enable the "USB Mass strorage mode" - sace. Then connect the USB cable. It will work.

About transferring media files
You can connect your BlackBerry® device to your computer to transfer files between your device and your computer, or you can use
Bluetooth® technology to send media files to or receive media files from a Bluetooth enabled device.
If you connect your device to your computer, you can transfer files between your media card and your computer using mass storage mode,
or you can transfer media files between your device and your computer using the media manager tool of the BlackBerry® Desktop
Manager. For more information about using the media manager tool, see the Media Manager Online Help.
If you turn on media card encryption and you transfer files to your media card using mass storage mode or Bluetooth technology, your
device does not encrypt the transferred files. If you transfer encrypted files from your media card using mass storage mode or Bluetooth
technology, you cannot decrypt the files on your computer or on a Bluetooth enabled device.
Transfer a file between your device and your computer using the media manager tool
1. Connect your BlackBerry® device to your computer.
2. On your computer, open the BlackBerry® Desktop Manager.
3. Double-click Media Manager.
4. Drag a file or folder from one location to another.

Everytime I try and access my blackberry 8310's memory card via my computer, I click on Removeable Disk (D:) and it still says Please Insert A Removeable Disk. please help me solve this

Go to your blackberry options (its a wrench icon on my 8300) and then scroll down to "Media Card".
The options should be set to:

Media Card Support: ON
Encryption Mode: None
Mass Storage Mode Support: ON <--------this is the likely culprit
Auto Enable Mass Storage Support Mode When Connected: Yes

You should also see in the bottom information in the Total and Free space that correlate to the size of the card you have in your phone.

Can't download music from my PC to the Blackberry Curve

Go to the options, then click media card, scroll to Auto Enable Mass Storage and set to prompt. Unplug your BB from USB and plug it back in. It will prompt you with a message "Do you want to turn on Mass Storage Mode? Click yes. Don't click Don't ask this question again. I actually came here to find the solution, then i figured it out. Your "Disk Drive" added will then say Blackberry.
