I assume you only found the 4 mount screws in the back... You also need to take off the front silver edging - it pops off with some negotiating, but if you find the right spots and don't pry hard it will come off clean without too much difficulty. Then take out the screws that hold the screen inside and it should drop out.

If some of the pins inside the monitor cable are bent or broken you can losr primary colors and cause this. Check them. If they seem OK try reseating both ends of the cable. If no go, then try the monitor of a differnt computer to see wether its the videocard or the monitor thats defective.

The cable from the Monitor USB input to PC USB output is good? Check to see if you do have 5vdc on pin 1 of the USB connector. Your monitor is basically a powered USB hub when it is connected to PC through a USB cable.
