Open Pinterest on your internet browser. Type
www.pinterest.com in your browser's address bar and hit ? Enter. Pinterest will open up to your Pin feed.
- If you're not automatically signed into Pinterest on your browser, log in with your email and password, or your social media account.
Click the gray figurehead icon. This button is located in the upper-right corner of your browser window. It will open your profile page.
Click the Settings button. This button looks like a gray bolt icon above your name on your profile page. It will open your settings.
Scroll down and click Deactivate Account. It's under the "Account" heading in the Account Basics section of your settings. Clicking will open a new pop-up window.
Select a reason for closing your account. You will have a list of options to choose from.
- If none of the listed options seem suitable for you, you can select Other and specify the details of your situation in a text field.
Click Permanently close my account. This is the gray button in the lower-left corner of the pop-up window. This option will delete your account and all of your saved Pins. You will not be able to log in to your account again.
- Alternatively, you can click Deactivate my account. It's the red button in the lower-right corner of the pop-up. If you choose this option, you can log in with your email and password anytime to re-activate your account.
Click Yes, send the email. You will now receive a confirmation email from Pinterest in your mailbox. Your account will not be deleted until you confirm your action from this email.
Open the confirmation email. Go to your mailbox and find the confirmation email from Pinterest.
Click Yes, close account in the email. This button will confirm that you want to permanently delete your account. Your profile and all your Pins will now be deleted.
