Freeze protection on when temperature is 80 degrees

I am getting a service light and general fault message on my rs4.Apure1400. My salt reading is 3100. the Apure is showing 90% and then 121( not sure what that is). The serial nubmer is a07gk1484. The system will not stop running ( Pump) because it states that it is in freeze protection. We moved into this house a few months ago and aren't sure what needs to be done.

Your air temperature sensor may be broken. Does the display show the correct current air temperature? You can go outside and put the system in service mode. That will shut the pump off. Then you can disconnect the air sensor and see if the pump acts right after putting it back into auto mode.

Testimonial: "The temperature is definitely wrong! IT's way off. The pool temp is right. I had the water tested and there was NO chlorine in it! If the sensor is bad then I am guessing it can't tell the system to make the chlorine? SHould I leave the sensor disconnected or plug it back in before I put the system back into auto mode. Do you know where I can order a new sensor? Most cost effective place. What should they cost?"

Any entry into SERVICE mode from the outside panel will override a freeze protect. Be sure to put it back to AUTO in order to resume freeze.

SOURCE: Can't shut down the main

The relay is probably bad. If you open up the main outdoor panel, you can watch the bottom of the relay for the pump, ususally on the upper left of the relay cluster (black). Watch for a small tab popping out when turning on/off. If you don't see it, the relay is bad. This assumes you hear a click when doing this.

SOURCE: Understanding how to use spa with freeze protection on

freeze protection will always be on. when you're done using the spa just push the heater/spa button. it will turn off. when ever the air temp drops below 37-39 degrees the air sensor will tell the system the it's getting cold and it will kick on the pump. you can change the it under settings menu if you want other pumps to come besides the filter pump

Pool spa heater when freezing temp

It normally will heat up with pump moving water, once the threshold is achieved - system will come out of its Freeze protection mode and will begin to work as programmed. If there is a heat call, heater will come on.
You can also locate the sensors, both the Water & Air (they need to be very close in temperature for this to work) then place them in water warmer than the actual ambient temp, & above the temp that triggers "Freeze".

I am not able to adjust the temperature on the freeze protection.

Unknown which freeze control you have.
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/PF1102M-freeze-control-manual.pdf

Usually the adjustment range is small for pool timer controls since pipes are made of plastic.

You can buy thermostat controls and convert them to freeze controls and give yourself wider range of temperatures.
Cadet 72801 has range from 80 to 40 degrees, and turns ON when temperature rises above set point.
You can reverse operation so it turns on when temperature drops below set point by installing DPDT relay.
10 amp use Omron LY2-AC or 30 amp use 5X847 relay.

I just installed my new X400 Dreamaker Spa. I filled it with water (although cold) and it has been warming up for approx. 18 hours and is only at 80 degrees? Is this normal? How long should it take to...

This is normal with the dream maker spa. The dream maker spas are poorly insulated, and only run 120 volts with a very small heater.
When the unit is first filled, the hot tub will not heat full time either. Most new hot tubs will have freeze protection below 50 degrees F. They will recirculate automatically using the friction and the pumps heat to warm the water above 50 degrees, and then the heating unit will kick on. These hot tubs do not heat while the jets are on high either, so once you are in it using the jets on high, the temperature will start to fall.

Now that you are up to 80 degrees, it should heat up fairly quick however.

Aqualink RS4 Water temperature reads 120 - obviously wrong.

No but this sensor is easy to replace. Just pull the sensor from the pipe by loosening the staniless steel clamp that holds it in the pipe. Then follow the wire back into the Aqualink box and unplug. Get a new one at your local store and replace. It's a common problem and you should be able to do it with ease.

My Zodiac LM3 chlorine generator shows on my display of my Aqualink RS4 that there is 0 salt in my pool. I just took the salt reading and there IS 3600 PPM salt in the pool and I also just cleaned the unit...

You are supposed to be maintaining between 4000-7000 ppm according to the manual you can read here...
