I would suggest you try re-installing the driver for your sound device as the first port of call.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

SOURCE: No Sound/drivers fine/possible board issue

Yes; sad to say, but your board probably will need replacing. Spilling drinks on your computers, esp laptops, isn't a good thing to do. I have never experienced spilling anything on my computers personally, but I know other people why have, and the motherboard is what they had to replace.

Try to reinstal or download the new driver for your soundsystem. If it still not functioning - i's a hardware problem (check you warranty card)

you can reach recovery mode by first shutting off your computer. 2 turn it back on and as soon as you press the power key start tapping f5 constantly and your screen should go into safe mode. you can the put your computer to recover or set it back to an earlier date and time. hope this helps.

Every time i try to play any sound through my external sound card Edirol UA 25 my computer reboots it self for no reason. Any one knows why is that happening? my laptop is Advent 9115 and i have...

first try reinstalling the driver of your external audio device, but first uninstall it.

Also check the device itself it may have faults like shorts and the like causing the laptop o protect and restart.

Hi ive knocked a large glass of drink over mixer.do u have any tips.its a djm 500.theres no sound and its doing all sorts of crazy things.like chanels round wrong way etc etc`ive tried to dry it out.it...

What was the drink?. If is was something like coke then it's going to need a full strip and clean as coke is very corrosive.
If it was plain water then I'd still strip it and put it somewhere warm for a couple of weeks to ensure it's REALLY dry before using it further.
You might need some new faders / switches etc depending on the severity of the spill.

Hello....
No Sound, No Volume Control, Mixer not Found, No Sound device installed…etc etc, This is a generic issue with all Windows OS updates....many of the users are facing this issue....this issue began after an auto update from MS changed many IRQs of Win OS, mainly the Sound and Audio Control system of Windows.
1 - R U facing NO Audio / No Sound issue...?
2 - Is ur Volume Control not responding ?
3 - Is ur Sound and Audio Device in Control Panel Grayed out ?
4 - Do u get a msg "No Active Mixer Devices Installed....when u try to open Volume Ctrl etc etc ?

If ur ans to any one of them is Yes...then u are being spammed by Microsoft....as ur Sound Control IRQ is being frozen by a recent update from Microsoft....

NOTE..THIS…IS…VERY..IMPORTANT...
No file update or any sound driver update can fix it, neither Microsoft is issuing any patch to fix it…or giving any help on this.
Full solution is available in my website (Support page)...it's quite simple process to fix it, and I am not charging any money, just trying to do some service and help everyone affected by this stupidity from Microsoft.

visit my support page.

all the best...
