Soldering usually. Some connnectors were prefabricated with rubber being injection moulded. Your best bet is to purchase a 15 pin D connector and change the old one by soldering.

I believe that's a Speed Sensor issue.

Diag:
1. Ensure mainshaft and countershaft speed sensors are installed properly. Disconnect mainshaft speed sensor harness connector. Using a DVOM, measure resistance between sensor terminals.

2. If resistance is not 400-600 ohms, replace mainshaft speed sensor. If resistance is 400-600 ohms, disconnect 25-pin PCM harness connector "B". Check for continuity between ground and 25-pin PCM harness connector "B", terminals No. 15 (Red wire) and No. 14 (White wire).

3. If continuity is present, repair short to ground in Red or White wire between PCM and mainshaft speed sensor. If continuity is not present, reconnect mainshaft speed sensor harness connector. Measure resistance between 25-pin PCM harness connector "B", terminals No. 15 (Red wire) and No. 14 (White wire).

4. If resistance is not 400-600 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 400-600 ohms, go to DTC
P0720 (FLASH CODE 9) . Check for loose PCM harness connectors. Replace PCM with a
known-good unit if necessary.

5. Disconnect mainshaft speed sensor harness connector. Check Red wire for continuity between 25-pin PCM harness connector "B", terminal No. 15 and mainshaft speed sensor harness connector. If continuity is present, go to next step. If continuity is not present, repair open in Red wire between 25-pin PCM harness connector and mainshaft speed sensor
harness connector.

6. Check White wire for continuity between 25-pin PCM harness connector "B", terminal No. 14 and mainshaft speed sensor harness connector. If continuity is present, check for loose PCM harness connectors. Replace PCM with a known-good unit if necessary. If continuity is not present, repair open in White wire between 25-pin PCM harness connector and mainshaft speed sensor harness connector.

Speed Sensor probably. Try:

Locked seat belt elantra 2005 and cut off wire.


First correct the problem before any resetting is done.need to repair the wire (check wire color).disconnect one battery terminal first before anything else.If wire is broken form the connector pin using pointed stiff wire pry off the pin lock up(plastic lock ussually diff color from the connector)pull it off completely and from inside the connector u can see a tiny lock each and every pins.use the pointed wire lift slightly the lock and pull or push the pin out.use solder to join the pin and wire.you may need a diagnostic computer to reset the mil light (malfunction indicator light)

Having problems with my turn signals, they do not work when i just click the turn signal, I have to hold them in a specific way for them to come on.


step by step heres what you got to do
1.disconnect battery ground cable
2.remove nut retainer and jam nuts hten steering wheel
3.remove turn signal cancel cam assembly
4.remove hazard warning screw and knob
5.move the turn signal switchso you can access the turn signal screws and housing screws which can be accessed through the opening in the switch
6.remove housing screws and housing
7.only on models with tilt steering wheels remove shoe pin retainer cap
8.remove pivot switch screw and pivot pluse switch assembly
9.remove turn signal screws
10.remove wire prtecting from opening in instrument panel bracket assemblyand seperate from wires
11.disconnect turn signal switch connector from ignition and dimmer switch assembly connector
12.disconnect 17 wy lock from turn signal connector
13.use ternimnal tool #j-35689-a or equivelent, disconnect wires on buzzer switch assemble from turn signal connector
14.remove turn signal switch assembly from column
15 reverse to put back together
16. please note that signal and column housing screws got to be torqued to 35 inch lbs the switch screws at 20 inch lbs hazards at 7 inch lbsand the jam nuts at 30 ft lbs

My dc7100 has a compact power supply with proprietary 24 pin plug. Pretty sure power supply is non-functional (shorted green to black and fan didn't come on). Is it possible to rewire a conventional ATX...


I just spotted this, hence the late solution. Perhaps this will help someone in the future.

Yes it is possible.

Observe the color code of the insulation of the wires.

1) Orange wires are 3.3 Volts

2) Red wires are 5 Volts

3) Yellow wires are 12 Volts

4) The Green wire is the Soft Power On wire

5) All Black wires are Ground wires. Doesn't matter which Black wire it is, it's a Ground wire.
(It isn't a Common wire. This is DC electricity, not AC)

These are your main voltages, and wires to be concerned with.

Fortunately all HP, (Or any proprietary computer manufacturer in that time period), did, was to change where the wires are placed in the 20, or 24-pin ATX main power cable connector.

They just moved the wires in the socket holes, didn't change the color code.

Solution is,
1) To remove the wires in the ATX power supply, main power cable connector
2) To remove the wires in the proprietary computer's ATX main power cable connector.

(NOTE*
BE SURE to make a concise, clear, drawing FIRST, of where the colors of the wires went in the proprietary connector, BEFORE you remove them!)

3) To reinstall the wires into the proprietary connector.
(Again. Following the color code of the wires you removed)

Removing the wires out of the 20, or 24-pin ATX main power cable connector:

Observe these photos, of a 20-pin ATX main power cable's connector. This procedure can be applied to a 24-pin ATX main power cable connector also. (Or a 20 + 4-pin ATX main power cable connector)

The middle photo shows you a view of the Front of the connector.
The photo to the right shows you the Back of the connector.

Where the wires go down into the connector is a Socket Hole.
At the end of each wire is a metal pin connector. A Male pin connector.

This metal pin connector is shaped like a tube on the end, and comes up to a square shape as you go up.
The square shape fits the square socket hole.

On one side of the square shape is a Tang. It's part of the square metal shape, and sticks out away from the square shape.
Resembles a barb on a fish hook.

In this crude illustration, let a small L represent the side of the square shape, and this forward slash - / represent the tang.

A needle with the proper thickness so it won't bend, is inserted into the Front side of the socket hole, and is used to depress the Tang.

If you look down into the back of the connector, and into an individual socket hole with a bright light, and a magnifying glass, you will observe that the square socket hole has a small notch in one side.
This is where the tang slides down into.

It isn't easy to see from the front side.

The tang is depressed using the needle from the FRONT of the ATX main power cable connector, and the wire is removed from the Back side of the connector.

The metal pin connector's tube shape only goes up so far, then it turns into a square shape.

The socket hole in the connector is shaped to match. Tube shaped hole at the front of the connector, square shape coming on up to the back of the connector.

The square shape's corners, of the metal pin connector, keep it from coming out of the Front of the ATX main power cable connector.

The tang keeps the metal pin connector from coming out of the Back.
