Question about Canon Pixma iP6600D InkJet Photo Printer
Printer is not feeding paper through whether they are single sheets or multi sheets. The roller is not pulling them in and the screen reads 'no paper.'
Clear any loose paper from the paper tray. This will help you locate the jam. You will find it either in front, near the paper tray, or in the back, by opening the rear door.
Be sure there is no paper or debris hidden anywhere. Open up the rear door and use a flashlight to explore the inside. If you see any paper, have patience in trying to remove it, now gently pull using a side to side motion. If you use a tool for assistance, like a pair of tweezers, or pair of needle nose pliers, put some tape on the jaws of the pliers to help prevent the shredding of the paper.
Another good item to have handy is a can of compressed air. This can be used to blow out any built up dust or fine paper particles that may be embedded inside the printer and the sensors after much use.
Reboot your computer
Try cleaning the paper sensor and rollers
The sensor can be located by opening the front cover where the ink cartridges are. While looking inside just to the right of center manually feed a piece of paper like the printer does automatically. You should see a thin black lever move up and down as you push the paper in and pull it out repeatedly.
This is the paper jam sensor. ANY foreign object in the way of this sensor will cause a three orange light flash indicating a paper jam. Very hard to find without a flashlight. Another good idea would be to blow out the printer using a can of compressed air.
Clean the two Rollers Lightly dampen your lint-free cloth with water or alcohol. Squeeze it out to ensure that it's not too wet. Hold the cloth in one hand and press it lightly against the first roller. With your other hand, gently rotate the roller until you have cleaned it all the way around. Be extremely careful. Do not use too much pressure. You might have to run it through a few times to remove all of the residue

Issue: Paper feeds skewed
Solution: Clean The Paper Feed Rollers Using The Operation Panel - MP600
Clean The Paper Feed Rollers Using The Unit's Operation Panel If the paper feed roller is dirty, paper is not fed properly because the paper feed roller slips. Cleaning the paper feed roller could resolve the paper feeding problem. Please follow the instructions below to clean the Paper Feed Rollers directly from the unit. Caution: Since the cleaning process wears down the paper feed roller, perform this procedure only when necessary.
Note: If paper is not fed properly, repeat steps 4 through 10 above up to three times.
Press the <Feed Switch> button to switch to toggle between the Automatic Sheet Feed (ASF) or Cassette. The light will come on when the <Feed Switch> is set for that paper source.

Note: When printing from the computer, if paper does not feed from the source you have selected on the operation panel, check Paper Source setting in the printer driver. If the option is not set to 'Paper Feed Switch', paper will feed from the source selected in the driver.

I'm not sure if you've already checked this, but this was my issue. I, too, would try to print something and it would make a great deal of clunking noise but would then say that there was no paper and told me to load some. I went to the Canon site and before I actually went through the process of cleaning the print roller, I checked the feed switch button on the display panel. It's right below the ON/OFF button and, what do you know, it was set to feed from a paper cassette instead of the back loading tray. I pushed the button and it's now printing fine. I'm sure we must have accidentally hit the button when we were trying to turn the printer on or off quickly. Hope this does the trick! It's always nice when it's something easily fixed!

Hey I had this problem too for about 6 months. Just press the "Feed Switch" button under the main display to switch it from feeding from the tray under the printer.
