Question about Craftsman 1 Hp, 4 Gal. Air Compressor
I'm scraping ceramic tile from floor. My compressor runs out of air too quickly. I am going to drain the tanks. How should I adjust the second knob (smaller of the two, near air outlet) and what is it for? Do not have a manual.
To save you a few headaches, I would look into renting an automatic scraper to remove the tile. They can be found at The Home Depot's tool rental center for a very reasonable price. Compaired to continuously adjusting the pressure on your compressor or damaging both tools due to the compressor and the stress of fighting with it, the tools that can be rented are very reasonable. Good Luck. It's a nasty and painful job no matter how it's approched.

You have to "unlock" the adjustment knob by first pushing the outside lock ring...turning the center knob to the right will give you approx 110psi...I doubt you'll have enough, even at max, to run even the smallest tool...without frequent breaks.
