Files are not important. They are backed up on an external hd. I can try the freezer trick but if that doesn't work then what? Bios is set to default settings and LAN is enabled. I tried disabling it and it says "No boot device found". I re-enable the LAN and it says the previous error message. I've reset my bios to reboot from hdd/sdd, cd/dvd rom drive, and so on. nothing has worked even after choosing from the f12 menu.

SOURCE: Toshiba hard drive wont boot.

This could be the hard drive failure everyone doesn't want to see. If there are files on this drive that you have to have, I would quit trying to do anything with it till you can attempt to recover them. When a drive starts to fail there are some things you can do to get the files off before it melts down but the more you mess with it the less the chance that you can do that. You need someone with a 2.5 to 3.5 hard drive adapter that can boot up with this drive as a slave and get your files off of it that you need to save. Then you can put it back in the system and see if you can get it to work again. If the computer has trouble reading from the 2.5 in drive, shut it down and put it in the freezer for an hour and freeze the drive. this makes all the parts contract and become tighter and possibly help you read the drive again. If it reads then quits again then re-freeze it. Mean time you can go buy a new hard drive or get RMA numbers to send that one back on warranty. Hope this helps.

Sounds like your hard drive has gone bad or your OS have gotten corrupted as it's trying to boot from a network connection.
If you have a bootable CD or floppy you can try at the command prompt

chkdsk c: /f if that doesn't work try
fixmbr

If neither of these help try reloading your OS but honestly it sounds like a defunct hard drive

SOURCE: ETHERNET CONNECTION FAILURE TOSHIBA SATELLITE MK5076GSX HELPP HELP HELP!!!!!!!!

you need to go into the bios settings. When you first turn on your computer it will either say press f2 or del or some other key to enter bios or system setup.
from there you want to look for boot settings and change the boot order from either cd rom first or hd drive first instead of network boot.

This is what mine says when I turn on Intel UNDI, PXE-2 . 1 (BUILD 082) Copyright (C) 1997-2000 Intel Corporation For Atheros PCIE Ethernet Controller v1.0.0.5(01/22/09) Check cable connection..

You hard drive is missing from the system. Just does not recognize it.
Remove the hard drive and reseat (reconnect). Check BIOS by pressing an F key during boot. Look on the screen for correct Function key. Might be F2 key. Verify BIOS recognizes the drive. It must be listed! There is no going forward if it's not. Check boot order and make internal hard drive first. Save and restart.

Acer aspire one check cable connection pxe-m0f: Exiting intel PXE Rom. no bootable device

How old is this machine? Have you ever opened the chassis and blown out the dust with compressed air?
Built-up dust can cause electronic components to fail due to the loss of ability to dissipate heat properly.

Hi, I am using a toshiba satellite L645 which i got last December. I am now receiving the following error on boot... "Intel UNDI, PXE - 2.0 (build 083) Copyright (C) 1997-2000 Intel...

it seems that your harddisk is not dettect or may be your os has failed to boot.
turn on your laptop and press f2 to enter system setting
check on main field your hdd (ide configuration) is there any hdd installed? if there is no hdd instaled, it means that you need to replace your harddisk with a new one.
if there is any hdd now check your boot setting (boot priority), set your first boot in cd room and the second in hdd (in order to make easier instalation if the windows has broken) then save and exit.

based the message that you encounter, it may pertain to boot priority or to BIOS configuration.

My recommendation is for you to access and reset the BIOS settings on your computer.

The message you are seeing is your system trying to boot off of a network source. The boot device order has either been changed in your BIOS or the system is not seeing the hard drive with your operating system on it and is not able to boot from it.
