How do i reset my email fonts

Changing font size for reading in Outlook and Gmail

To read Mail in a larger font in Outlook:
  • Hold down Ctrl while turning the scroll wheel on your mouse down.
In Outlook 2007 and later, alternatively
  • Open the message in its own window.
  • Click Other Actions.
  • Select Zoom... from the menu.
  • Choose the desired zoom level.
  • Click OK.
Outlook will not remember the zoom level.

Since this does not work with plain text emails (the mouse wheel does), also select Tools ' Options... from the menu, go to the Mail Format tab, click Fonts... and use the Choose Font... button under When composing and reading plain text: to choose a bigger font. The above instructions are courtesy of About.com.

Here is a link referring to reading Gmail.

HI,
One way is to go to your menu bar at the top of your web browser, click on "File" then "Print Preview". At the top of the window there should be a small window with "Shrink To Fit" in it. Click the arrow on that box for a drop down list and choose something, like 90% (there is a custom option at the bottom of the list if you need to set something unique in between what's listed) and see how it changes the print size of what is to be printed out and choose the one that looks and works best for you without cutting off text somewhere. This will make it larger when printed out.

Another way that usually works to make the print larger when printing internet stuff & emails is by changing the view size on the screen to a larger size in your web browser (this is separate from your other setting you've already setup). Go to the menu bar at the top (i.e. Internet Explorer), click on "View," then "Text Size" then select a size like "Larger" or "Largest" (something higher than what you're currently set to.)

Sometimes adjusting the current window's magnification (lower right corner of screen or Ctrl button + scroll wheel on mouse) can have an affect on print size.

The only other method is to copy & paste the text into a text editing software like Word and adjust the text size there. If you're using a text program, then you simply adjust the size of the text to a 12 or 14 point, or larger, font size (adjust depending on the font and size you need) and that should do the trick.

Gmail problems small fonts to small

Reduce / Increase Text Size on My Gmail

Between the message list, search bar, labels and chat window, GMail's web interface displays a lot of information.

If your web browser is displaying all of these items in a large font, they may not fit comfortably on your screen.

Fortunately, you can easily change your web browser's text size on Gmail to ensure that all of the components fit.

Alternatively, you can use a special GMail Labs feature to change the default text size for all of the emails that you compose.

Navigate to your GMail inbox in your web browser.

Hold the "Ctrl" key on your keyboard and press the "-" key. Your web browser will shrink all of the text on the current web page.

You can repeat this step to shrink the text even more.

Hold "Ctrl" and press "+" to increase the text size if you shrink it too much.
Gmail Default Font

Navigate to your GMail inbox and click the gear icon in the top right corner of the screen.
Select "Labs" from the drop-down menu.
Scroll down to "Default Text Styling" and click "Enable."
Scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Save Changes."
Click the gear icon in the top right corner of the screen and select "Mail Settings." Click the "TT" icon in the "Default Text Style" section. Select "Small."

Scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Save Changes." Your new email messages will automatically use GMail's small text size.

Increase the Font Size in Email
Email font size is easily controlled while composing messages, but the messages you receive have been sized by the sender.
Some contacts may be perfectly comfortable writing in size 8, but such text can be a strain on the eyes, even with good reading glasses.
The printed hard copies of email messages with small text are even more difficult to read.
There are a few ways to quickly change font size for ease of reading and better quality print-outs.

Open an email message with particularly small text. Increase the email font size of the text using step 2, 3 or 4.
Click on the "View" selection from the menu bar.
Roll the mouse pointer over the "Zoom" choice.
Click on one of the choices that is greater than 100 percent.
Click "View" and cover "Zoom" to make a larger choice if the first choice does not increase the text size sufficiently.

Click the "View" option on the menu bar. Roll the cursor over the "Text Size" selection.
Choose one of the options that will increase the text size.
For instance, if the current size marked with the dot is "Medium," then click "Larger" or "Largest" to make the print appear bigger.

Use a mouse with a wheel to increase the email font size.
Press and hold the "Ctrl" key while rolling the wheel on the mouse.
The text will shrink as you roll in one direction, and grow bigger as you roll in the other.

Change font size before printing.
Click the "File" option on the menu bar.
Click "Print Preview."
Click the "Size" drop down which may display "100%," or "Shrink to fit."
Select a choice greater than 100 percent to increase text size.
Click the "Print" button to view the results on a hard copy.

When I reply to an e-mail on OUtlook 2010, the font size is very small - and I cannot read the original or what I am typing. Any ideas on how to restore the normal size

Having trouble seeing that small default font of Microsoft Outlook emails? There are three ways of making Outlook email text bigger.
The first includes increasing the text size of the outgoing email messages.
The second includes increasing the text size of messages that are replied to or forwarded.
The last includes making all the text of incoming emails larger as well.

Go to the Tools menu and select Options.
Click the Mail Formats tab and then click Stationary and Fonts.
Find the Personal Stationary tab, then find and click the Font button located under the New Mail Messages heading.
On the Font tab that appears, there will be a variety of options including changing the type of font, style, size and color.

Find the drop-down menu that is under the Size heading and select a bigger number.
Click OK and the new setting will take place the next time a message is composed.

Replies or Forwarded Mail
Go to the Tools menu and select Options.
Click the Mail Formats tab and then click Stationary and Fonts.

Find the Personal Stationary tab, then click the Font button that is located under the Replying or Forwarding Messages heading.
Find the drop-down menu that is under the Size heading and select a bigger number.
Click OK and the new settings will take place the next time a message is replied to or forwarded.

Incoming Email Messages
Go to the Tools menu and select Options.
Click the Mail Formats tab and then click Stationary and Fonts.

Look for the Display Font heading on the Personal Stationary tab and increase the size the size of the font by selecting a larger number.
This will increase the text size for all plain text incoming email.
However, it will not increase the text size of incoming HTML emails.

Set the option to read all incoming email as plain text if it is necessary to increase the text size of all incoming emails.
To do this, go to Tools, then click on Options, then look for the button that says Email Options and click Read all Standard Mail as Plain Text.

Create the menu tab on your homepage right click in the top toolbar you should see a number of toolbar options select the menu tab which will add File Edit View Favorites Tools and Help

I have a very small font size on my aol mail. How do I increase the font size

You can increase the font size by going to your browser's settings and changing the font size from there. How to get to these settings depends on which browser you use. An alternative is decreasing the resolution of your monitor.

How do you change font size of email printout?

Internet Browser Instructions

  • If you open your email account using a browser, there is a very simple way to increase the font. Font size options are located either under "Tools" ("Options" or "Preferences" then "Content") or "View" (text size) on your browser's main menu. Change the font to a larger size, which may be set by number or by selecting "Larger" or "Largest" font from the list of options. You may have to click "Advanced" or the similar option in the "Fonts" section of some browsers to adjust the font properly.

Next, click "File" then "Print Preview" on your browser's main menu. This will show you how the email will look when printed. Click "Page Setup" and deselect the "Shrink to Fit Page" option. This will allow you to print the email at the new, larger font size. Be sure to return your browser's font size to normal when you are finished printing the email, or else all of your pages will display with a larger font.

Other Email Software
  • If you use a non-browser email software program to view your emails, insert your email contents into Microsoft Word (or a similar word processing program) to print it in large letters. Select the entire message from your email software then go to Word to paste the contents into a blank document. You can then select the text of the email and increase the size of the font. When you're done, print the file as you would normally. You can also perform this action with an email that you open inside of a browser.
