Question about Kenmore 24 in. Elite Built-In Dishwasher w/ Ultra Wash Filtration
Spray arms do not move, dishes do not get wet. Technician came in and said motor is bad. Ordered motor and went away. Second technician came in and said there is a loose connection to motor and fixed something without replacing motor. Worked fine for a couple of days and the problem returned. Where can I find a circuit diagram or how can I know which wire is loose ?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

sounds like wash motor is not going . it will fill and control thinks motor is working . then it will drain wash water / ( drain pump is a different motor ) and then refill and so on .. never washes but fills and drains and heats. ( look for leakage under the motor i'm sure you will find some ..

SOURCE: wash cycle
Check first that the filter located inside the machine (on bottom) is clean. In case it clean - The problem is with the pump. It could be a blockage between pump and the tub, or just a defective pump (The pump takes suction from the tub and forces water up through the spray arms, which spray the dishes. The water then simply drops back into the tub for recirculation). Good luck !!

SOURCE: "Sensing" Light
There is a relay on the soap dispenser, if it is a Kenmore quietguard 4, I had the same type of noise, the repairman replaced the dispenser, which to me made no sense, because the relay is activated from the control board. After the $130. for the soap dispenser, he ended up replacing the control board for another $160. Now the dishwasher only goes up to the dry cycle and stops. If you press the heated dry button and then the heated wash button 5 times each, the entire control face will light up and it will do some kind of reset and try a new cycle. I have tried the button pushing and it worked great till it got to the dry cycle, so I am looking for another solution without involving Sears. Good Luck!

Check spray arm for obstructions and if it is clear the motor impeller could be slipping or water system may need a good cleaning with CLR.
