check the electricity plug > check the electricity cable of the reciver < and the best thing put every three electronic device in on plug not more and the best thing go to the company to check your reciver
the onkyo receiver should have hdmi jacks on it labeled cbl/sat,dvd, and so forth. plug the hdmi wire into the dvd and from the dvd to the hdmi jack on the onkyo that says dvd. then run another hdmi cable from the hdmi out jack on the onkyo receiver to the tv
On the remote try scrolling through the settings from the DTS button and also make sure you have the correct audio source selected. I switched to the optical cable but, then found that the better sound for my room came from the RCA set-up. Good Luck and I hope this helps.
