W do you tests battery that has been sitting to a while

Well first you need to charge the battery. I recommend 40 amp for about an hour. Trickle charges will take a day if it will take a charge at all. If if it take a a charge. Most auto parts stores have battery tester and will test it for free. Needs to have been charged or your tested a dead battery and it will show bad

Op 400 40 volt ryobi charger output voltage

IT most likely is not 40 volts! It can be 20 or less. Depends on the battery configuration. There can be 2 twenty volt batteries in series and the charger charges them in a split configuration.

How do I charge a string of say 10 x 18650 Lithium batteries?

Can get a 4 gang charger on eBay, ~ $20.
If they're wired in series, (nominal 37 volts) will need a DC power supply capable of 40-50 volts DC. Limit the charge current to 1-2 amps with a series resistor or a small 115 volt light bulb..

Does a miller 225 charge off of the flywheel or does it have and alternator?

Flywheel. Check for AC voltage on the two outside wires of the voltage regulator with it running. At fast speed, should be 30-40 volts ac. It that is there, then check dc voltage on battery, which should be close to 14 volts dc.

Timer wiring

Your question lacks details that will compromise my answer. If you are using a battery charger to boost your vehicle, I recommend attaching the positive cable from the charger to one battery and the negative to a suitable ground that is NOT your battery. Four wires? I assume this is for either 24 volts or better cca. Be sure you know if it is a twelve volt system or not. Only attach cables to their corresponding poles. Use 60 amps to boost. 40 and under to charge. If your battery is below 9.6 volts, it is garbage. If it is below 12.6 then it needs to be charged. A proper load test on your battery will determine the state of your battery. Always load test batteries individually. If you have to boost your vehicle frequently, then ther could be other issues you may want to look at.

2012 rzr4 800 will the stator charge at all if its bad

A typical, fully charged & unloaded 12 volt lead acid battery should indicate about 12.6 V. Check the voltage / percent charge chart below:

Volts - Charge
11.7 - 10%
11.9 - 20%
12.1 - 30%
12.25 - 40%
12.35 - 50%
12.45 - 60%
12.5 - 70%
12.6 - 100

A fully charged that is only about 12V indicates a a problem with the battery - dead / shorted cells, etc. You can always remove the battery and have it tested at Autozone or similar auto parts stores if you're unsure. From the info you've provided - my guess is that the battery is "done"

I hope this was helpful - good luck!

Battery tests at 12 volts but won't start but starts with jumper cables to other car

battery should be showing 12,45 - 12.6 volts when car is standing still. also batteries getting old colects sulphate on plates ,this degrades the cold start performance. you can see that cranking amperage on stickers of batteries. for example 90 amperes 750 cca battery is required for my car but les wont crack it even it is 90 amperes but 640 cca. mainly lead acid or dry type batteries needs to be charged more than %40 of its capacity. 12 volts is only the ~%25 of its capacity and it seems yours is dead already.

Charging system light came on but batt has 12.9 volts after running for about 40 mins with indicator on

With the vehicle running the battery voltage should be at 14 volts, if you take it by advance auto they can hook it up to a tester without removing it from the car and they dont charge for this service. I hope this helps you.

My kin-1200 ap doesn't charge the battery properly.

The reason for this is that the UPS, is unable to efficiently charge those BIG batteries, you see they generally only charge at a low rate, anyway, of say 10% - 15% capacity, of the-battery-usually-charged. Now with these BIG 40 Amperes by 2, well, there simply isn't enough "Juice" to charge them up... (Oh it might do in a month or so)... from that UPS's Charging Circuit. You will most likely have to rig up some other higher rate charger for those BIG batteries. OR modify the charging circuit IN the UPS. They need to be charged at about 1 Amp or maybe more. See it is simply Charge over Time... 40 amps at 1 Amp will take 40 hours.. 40A at 2A = 20H & so on. If only 1/2 flat 2A over 10hours.
