Question about Proform 6.0 Es Recumbent Bike
This stationary recumbent bike always has too much pedaling resistance even on the lowest manual resistance setting of number 1.

This unit incorporates an adjusting motor for the magnetic boot. This unit also uses batteries for the upper console functions I would check the batteries first and replace them, if you haven't done so before.
If this does not resolve the problem then it could be the adjusting motor, then you will have to pull the the side panels in order to apply a 6v dc to the motor and see if it moves smoothly, if not then replace motor.
