Kenwood kdc-248u. Installing into a 01 mitsubishi galant. Using a wiring harness adapter to plug into the factory harness. The wires on the radio pig tail have a label of P.CONT, ANT CONT, and MUTE. Not...

From the installation instructions: Ant Cont - Motor antenna control wire (Not used) P. Cont - Power control wire - To the power control terminal when using the optional power amplifier or to the antenna control terminal in the vehicle. Mute - Mute control wire - To the terminal that is grounded when either the telephone rings or during conversation (this would be to the telephone that is purchased separately.

Connect to the local server using Windows Authentication and specify
the AdventureWorks database as the database in use. To connect using
SQL Server Authentication, set values for the "UID" and "PWD"
attributes in the $connectionInfo parameter. For example:
$connectionInfo = array("UID" => $uid, "PWD" => $pwd));
$uid = "Administrator";
$pwd = "Password1";
$connectionInfo = array("UID" => $uid, "PWD" => $pwd));
*/
$uid = "Administrator";
$pwd = "Password1";
$connectionInfo = array("UID" => $uid, "PWD" => $pwd));
$serverName = "(localhost)";
$connectionInfo = array( "Database"=>"dbase");
$conn = sqlsrv_connect( $serverName, $connectionInfo); if( $conn )
{
echo "Connection established.\n";
}
else
{
echo "Connection could not be established.\n";
die( print_r( sqlsrv_errors(), true));
}
//-----------------------------------------------
// Perform operations with connection.
//-----------------------------------------------
/* Close the connection. */
sqlsrv_close( $conn);

I have an automatic starter on a 1995 buick riviera and the car wouldn't start with the key but would start with the automatic starter now it cuts off as soon as it starts

sounds like a bad wire connection see they hook that up through the same ign wires the key uses to start it i would pull the auto start module and check for bad conn and on the key not starting it could be a couple of things 1 as explained before bad conn 2 a bad ign switch at the keyswitch

56 inch tv

The T Con board at the top of the back panel has 2 flat cables that connect from this board to the main board. Check these connection. Be careful. Lightly sqeeze in on the sides of the connector and pull. Push cables back in. Check picture. an you get any graphic from the tv on the blank side. If you can then definatly Main board is bad. Other wise replace the flat cable (FLDS cable) on side that is missing video. next replace the t conn then next replace the panel. I think the t conn board on this set is part of the LCD panel. It is Likely cheaper to replace the tv if the panel is bad.

Developing an application with vb.net 2008 and i'm finding it

You need to set up an ODBC DSN and use this in your connection string then instantiate an ODBC connection. For example:

Dim MyConnectionString As String = "Driver={MySQLDSN};SERVER=localhost;DATABASE=MySQLDatabase;" '
Dim conn As New OdbcConnection(connectionString)
conn.Open()
Dim da As New OdbcDataAdapter("SELECT * FROM Customers", conn)
Dim ds As New DataSet()
da.Fill(ds, "Customers")
dataGrid1.DataSource = ds.DefaultViewManager
conn.Close()

How to connect vb with ms access

se Adodc OR Even better.. ADODB. for this you need to get MDAC fromMicrosoft free download.(check under project_References- Microsoft DataActiveX objects.. the current no is 2.8. if it is not there download invb directory.

next, you can learn about creating a DSN from control panel, ODBC. onceyou learn this, connection becomes a piece of cake. get some free vbtutoriasl from WWW.

then

you need to use DAO or ADO to connect to the database. better study both but since ADO is current, i am showing that code.
under Menu Project_References, put a check mark on Microsoft ActiveXData Objects latest version (though it works for all, currently 2.8with sp pack 1 ).

at the general declarations:
dim conn as adodb.connection, rec as adodb.recordset, esql as string,esql1 as string
Private Function connect()
Set rec = New ADODB.Recordset
Set conn = New ADODB.Connection
esql = "Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source=" & "D:VBDesigndhana2.mdb" & ";Persist Security Info=False"
'here you put the correct path of your mdb file. and check if you have jet 4.0

conn.Open (esql), , , 0
End Function

private sub form_Load()
connect
end sub
and for adding records:
say let us say you have 3 fields. then have 3 textboxes and 1 command button on the form.

private command1_click()
esql1="select * from Yourtablename"
rec.open(esql1),conn,, adOpenDynamic, adLockOptimistic
rec.AddNew
rec.Fields(0) = text1.Text
rec.Fields(1) = Text2.text
rec.Fields(2) = text3.text
' you need to check if in your access table design you have Allowed Zero length .. set it to Yes for all text fields.
rec.update
if not rec.eof then rec.movenext
rec.close
conn.close
set conn to nothing
end sub

this will add new records to access table from VB.
' for picture store the full path of the path and the picture file nameint the text field. and in the picturebox of VB form for viewingrecords again you need ADO or ADODC and here you code:picture1.picture=Loadpicture(rec.fields(3) ' depending on where thepicture field is located. you need to make a few trials.
under Menu Project_References, put a check mark on Microsoft ActiveXData Objects latest version (though it works for all, currently 2.8with sp pack 1 ).

at the general declarations:
dim conn as adodb.connection, rec as adodb.recordset, esql as string,esql1 as string

Private Function connect()
Set rec = New ADODB.Recordset
Set conn = New ADODB.Connection
esql = "Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source=" & "D:VBDesigndhana2.mdb" & ";Persist Security Info=False"
'here you put the correct path of your mdb file. and check if you have jet 4.0

conn.Open (esql), , , 0
End Function

private sub form_Load()
connect
end sub

and for accessing records:

private command1_click()
esql1="select * from Yourtablename where id =" & val(text1) ' for integers

esql1="select * from Yourtablename where name=" & "'" & text1 & "'" ' for string

rec.open(esql1),conn, adOpenstatic, adLockreadonly

label1.caption =rec.Fields(0)
label2.caption= rec.Fields(1)
label3.caption= rec.Fields(2)
' you need to check if in your access table design you have Allowed Zero length .. set it to Yes for all text fields.

rec.close
conn.close
set conn to nothing
end sub

' similarly there are routines to ADD, Delete, Edit, View etc.

Problem no sound

If your KENWOOD unit is experiencing audio problems (NO Audio), but do have audio when TUNER is selected as the source, you may have problems with your installation.

NOTE: If using an external amplifier or the unit was installed using a separately purchased wiring harness for your specific vehicle, please check the following

If Using an External Amplifier

The P.CONT or REMOTE terminal on the external amplifier requires a “turn on” signal from the stereo. This terminal should be connected to the BLUE/WHITE P.CONT wire on the Kenwood harness and not the solid BLUE ANT.CONT wire.

If Using a Vehicle Specific Harness
The vehicle has a factory installed amplifier and requires a “turn on” signal from the stereo. Make sure that the BLUE/WHITE P.CONT wire is connected to the vehicle specific harness and NOT the sold BLUE ANT.CONT wire.

The solid BLUE ANT. CONT wire is used to trigger a power antenna ONLY when the tuner is selected as the source. Using this wire to “turn on” an external amplifier or factory installed amplifier will only allow it to work when TUNER is selected. Please refer to your instruction manual for proper installation. If you are not completely comfortable with installing the unit yourself, we recommend that you seek assistance from a professional installer.
