You will never be able to use the 3X barlow which TRIPLES the magnification of any eyepiece-- it's just too much for such a small scope. All astronomical telescopes have upside down images--- there is no up or down in space.

Image is upside down in Celestron PowerSeeker 114AZ telescope

That's because this telescope is what's called a reflector. The image in reflector telescopes are upside down. This isn't an issue since reflectors are designed for looking at the night sky.

Last used viewing was fine. After being stored the image now is side ways. the same eye piece was used. Hope you can help! Ray

The image is also UPSIDE DOWN -- all astronomical telescopes show inverted images --- it is normal. No up or down in space.

Light simply enters the tube hits the mirror on the back and bounces up and hits the smaller mirror under the focuser. That's all there is to it.

Looking for a manual for Meade 114 EQ-DH. Also looking for the CD that comes with the telescope.

Look under 4.5 inch Reflector on Meade's manual web site:

http://www.meade.com/manuals/index.html

You do not need the CD -- the software on the CD is located on Meade's web site for free download-- here:

Because all astronomical telescopes show upside down images. Read my TIPS frequently asked questions on my profile page.

I picked up a used Meade 114 EQ AS on the off

First go to Meade's manual web site -- look under the REFLECTOR heading and download a manual. Here:
http://www.meade.com/manuals/index.html

Second-- It's NOT ASTROLOGY! It's Astronomy!

Astrology is completely fake and superstitious belief that the planets and stars affect your life!

The MIRROR is on the bottom of the telescope- this is called a REFLECTOR style telescope. The focuser is on the TOP (side) of the telescope. Make sure the focuser end is UP and the mirror is on the bottom pointed toward the GROUND.

Read my TIPS on my profile page.

Everything is upside down

Astronomical telescopes produce an upside-down and reversed image (image is rotated 180 degrees from an upright position) since this doesn't matter when you are looking at things in the night sky. Accessories are available for rotating the image to an upright position, but most of those accessories do not work well with Newtonian style reflector telescopes such as the 114EQ reflector.
