Dryer knob willnot advance back to off position on left side of timmer. I allready changed the timmer. But did not help.

Check and see if you wired it correctly. This is odd though. The timer actually engages the current and creates a continuous circuit until cycle is finished. There may be a physical obstruction keeping the knob in place. Check all this out and if still no luck , let me know and we will dig deeper.

It's freezing everything.

Hi, refrigerators have either a mechanical defrost timer, or an ADC (Adaptive Defrost Control). If your refrigerator has a mechanical timer, set the cold control to the coldest setting and then advance the defrost timer. You can manually advance the timer with a screwdriver. Insert the screwdriver into the advancement pinion and turn clockwise a 1/4 to 3/8's of a turn. If the compressor starts, replace the defrost timer. For further help, you'll want to call a professional appliance repair technician.

You can use a condenser coil brush to clean the coils periodically. Because the coils exchange heat, any dust, lint, or dirt on them cuts down its ability to exchange heat.

My kenmore dryer will not heat up and timer will not shut off on auto

`check ur restricted vent, or bad coils, is the vent is restricted the heat would built , but won't exit the machine, the gas valve shuts off, an wont come back on till it cools down then the same thing will happen over an over and that wont let the timmer advance an finish its cycle, take the backvent off an turn ur leaf blower an blow the lint off the duct, new houses with a roof vent specially here in chicago have problems when the lint an ice combine create a big vent problem. if you have a roof vent, u can remove the screen on the vent at the roof, birds will not go in,seeking for heat, because the new dryers dont have a stand by pilot like the old ones, so they don't provide heat 24/7, and when they inuse they blow so much air is impossible for a bird to stand the temp an the speed of the hot air

Coil is freezing, stops cooling, no water at despencer. turn timer knob manualy and it does shut off and back on again. defrost timer or heater?

depends on the brand, most likely the defrost thermostat.
heaters rarely go bad, timers usually will not advance causing the coil to frost over.
if you turn the timer to the "defrost" position and wait for 20 minutes. after a couple of minutes it should have the heater get hot and then frost should drip onto the heater and make a "hissing" or "sizzling" sound. if it does make these sound, then replace the timer.

Hi I have a whirlpool gas dryer and it heats up when you 1st start it up but after a while it runs cool. Also the timer does not advance so it just runs aimlessly. I already cleaned the vent and lint chute...

The timer is the Principal initiator of the entire heating cycle. it authorizes the needed current for proper element functions. you have stated that the timer fails to advance, or rotate properly. this will cause inadequate heating, therefore, not allowing optimal dryer performance.

replacing the timer will fix this issue.

((I would also like to recommend replacing the running thermostat as well. this is good preventive maintenance. its located on the dryer blower housing or vent duct.))

Drier was working O.k . Timmer Stop working And so did the Heating. Does the Timmer control Temperature aswell.?

Yes, if the timer mech is damaged and, it will not rotate, this is cause the heating cycle to become inoperable. the time is responsible for initiating the heating command and the thermostat helps with the temp regulations. replacing the timer will restore the normal functions of your dryer.

check the pin connector between the touchpad & control board and ensure that it's seated correctly in the slot on the control board. if this does not solve the problem replace the control board.
