Question about Frigidaire GLEF396 Electric Kitchen Range
There is a clicking noise as if the door switch doesn't connect.
Good Morning Cecil,
I see that you are having trouble with the light flickering on and off and also the power going on and off on your Frigidaire range, model# GLEF396CSB. You also stated that there is a clicking noise, as if the door switch is not connecting. There could be a couple of possibilities with these occurences.
First, make sure that you are connected to a 120 volt at a minimum of 40-50 Amp circuit breaker.
Second, there could be something going on with the different control boards miscommunicating.
Third, there could be something going on with the wiring inside the home.
In any case, I would start with resetting your range. You can do this by shutting the power off at the circuit breaker for 2-3 minutes. When you restore the power, you will need to set the clock by pressing the "clock" button, entering in the time, then pressing the "Start" button. Once the clock is set, turn on the oven. If you are still having trouble from there, I would contact either the manufacturer or your local authorized technician. Hope this is helpful.
