There are many screws you would need to access...

However in 6 years of working on these I have never seen a power switch fail.. In most cases it is a bigger problem with teh main board and that usually means there has been a leak or some other major fault.

If your in Brisbane a simple fix for you - I can check out / repair. If not try

KM says this is an ice maker. Reset button is on the control board. Board is in compartment on the right side where the power switch is located. Remove 2 screws and remove cover by sliding forward. Watch for wires, do this carefully. On the board, up at the top, is a small, white button. With power on, push the button.

Advent t9307 power switch not working

Your laptop's power button sits directly on top of a device called a power button board. This is a small circuit board where all power and control buttons interface with your laptop's motherboard. The repetitive use of the power and control buttons can damage the power button board. Repairing your power button means removing and replacing the power button board, which requires partial disassembly of your laptop.

1.Power down your laptop. Unplug the AC power adapter and all external devices from the computer. Close the laptop's LCD panel and place the laptop face down. Rotate the laptop so the front opening edge is facing you. Remove the battery pack from its compartment on the laptop's bottom side.

2.Flip the laptop over, and pull open the display panel as far as possible. Use a thin, flat-head screwdriver to pry the keyboard cover from the laptop. The keyboard cover is the plastic piece situated above the keyboard assembly that houses the power button board.

3.Lift the keyboard cover out of the laptop slightly, and disconnect the cables extending from the power button board to the motherboard. Remove the keyboard cover from the laptop.

4.Place the keyboard cover face down on a flat surface. Remove the Phillips-head screws fastening the power button board to the cover, and remove it. If your speakers are situated inside the keyboard cover, disconnect the speaker cables from the power button board before removing it.

5.Place the new power button board inside the keyboard cover. Align the screw holes on the button board with the holes on the keyboard cover. Replace the Phillips-head screws fastening the button board to the keyboard cover. Reconnect the speaker cables to the button board, if necessary.

6.Reconnect the power button board's main cable to the motherboard. Place the keyboard cover back inside the slot above the keyboard assembly. Press down on the cover until it snaps into place. Replace the battery pack and reconnect all cables.

I have a WM2277HW machine. I cannot get the machine to turn on. There is no electric outlet problem. Is there a reset button for this machine?

its in the ecu inside under the top cover,if you remove the top cover, then the board is under a plastic cover in the left rear from the front,if the little red LED indicator on the board isnt lit, then either the small board to its left where the power cord connects is bad or this main board is bad and needs replacing

Dryer not working, PF fault.

The fault code PF means a power failure occurred or the power to the dryer was interrupted by any means while it is running. The interruption can be due to a power outage/failure or a power cord loose connection to the electronic control board. Pressing the Pause/Cancel button clears out the display; otherwise, unplug the dryer then let it sit for at least 15 minutes.

Remove the three hex-head screws from the rear flange of the dryer top cover to access the machine control electronics and check the power cord connection if the issue is not resolved above or if the fault code keeps on popping up. The top cover screws have nylon flat washers on them. Be sure to use these screws when you reinstall the top cover. Lift the rear of the top cover and slide it back so the tabs clear the catches on the bracket, and remove the cover from the unit. Make sure that the tabs slide under the bracket catches when you reinstall the top cover.

Remove the three screws from the machine control electronics board bracket and pull the bracket away from the side of the dryer in order to access the connectors. Visually check P1 harness, the five-wire harness on the upper left corner of the machine control electronics where the power cord connects and make sure the connector is fully inserted into the electronic controls and the terminal connections are clean. Reseating the connection several times will help clean off dirt and corrosion build up in the connection

The
machine control electronics definitely needs replacing if the issue is not addressed by the outlined procedures above.

My wife and I just moved into our house and cannot get anything on the dishwasher to activate. We have checked fuses, lightswitches that might be wired to DW power -- nothing has worked. Is there a...

Sounds like a power supply issue. Take off the lower panels below the door and look to the right side of the opening, you will see a little square steel cover. This cover is where your power comes into the dishwasher. Follow the line coming into the dishwasher, it will either be a power cord that leads to an outlet, or a regular power line coming in. IF it leads to an outlet, try plugging something into the outlet. If the outlet is under the sink, try switching the plug from the top outlet to the bottom one (or vice~versa). Sometimes the outlets under sinks are set up so that a garbage disposer can be plugged into one of the outlets that is controlled by a wall switch.
If you get no power to the outlet, and all of your breakers are on, look for a GFI outlet that may have been tripped. These outlets have the little "test" and "reset" buttons on them and often are wired in parallel so that multiple outlets are powered (and protected) by one GFI.
Lastly if you have determined that there is power to the outlet, remove the cover under the dishwasher and inspect the wire connections. I have found many machines that had poor connections causing the wire nuts to burn right off the cord connections.
Now if everything else checks out power wise, you may have a blown fuse located on the control board housing inside the console of the machine. Get the part before you disassemble the door. To access it you will have to remove all the screws around the inner door liner and separate the two halves of the door. The control board is in the top right corner of the door and is usually under a plastic cover. The fuse is a small white thing that clips to the control board housing.
Good luck! Hope this helps you out!

Hi, I have purchased the model aspire 5738. The problem is the power saving button at top-right corner does not work and also the key fn+f2 is not working. Please help........

I assume that you purchased this used? If you bought it new, find the receipt and return it.

If used, I'd suggest finding a new keyboard and installing it. I'm gonna take a leap here and tell you that the power-saving button is on the strip above the keyboard with the start button and speakers? This piece typically needs to be removed to get to the screws that hold the keyboard in place. Look to see if the wiring that powers the p-s b is in place. Check this by powering up the computer with this panel removed. This will tell you whether or not the wiring is the problem. If the wiring is working, then check the back of the button on the panel to quarantee that the button on the panel reaches the button on the motherboard, or whatever circuit board the p-s b is placed on.

Need to remove the outer cover on a Gateway

If you get power to the controls and you don’t have the startup sound or see the gateway logo when you plug it in, the main board may be bad.
If your picture was pinkish or dark at the top or bottom when it was working then you may have 1 or more of the bulbs failing.
If you have the startup sound and see the gateway logo and the screen just flashes and the power buttons stay lit, then it sounds like probably the inverter may have went.

Take the screws out of the bottom rear edge (these hold the front trim), and the 4 big black ones at the middle of the back that hold the stand bracket.
The trim then unsnaps. {Be aware of the small ribbon to the power button board on the right edge}Start at the bottom and release the trim (pulling up the trim on the screen side usually starts it off), then work your way up each side bottom to top ((a pocket knife or thin putty knife even a credit card, will help release the catches as you work your way up)
Then unsnap the top edge (rocking it while lifting helps)
Disconnect the ribbon at the power button board, (Tiny latch lifts up on a hinge and ribbon slides out)
Once trim is off, remove the 4 corner screws that hold the screen in. Then the screen will lift out with all the guts. You may have to pry up on a corner with a screw driver to get it started.
The inverter is under the medium size metal case.
The power board and main board are under the large cover.
You’ll then have to remove a bunch of screws including the usb board ones and unplug the bulbs and wire to the screen
then the power board and control board is under the center area under the metal cover
Shout if you need more info.
If you email me a good picture of the board , I may be able to get a better idea if it is the inverter from a visual.
Thanks Fran
