Will not connect wireless Internet
Here is a two solutions for roku connection issues :
This is one of the solutions:
•First, you have to Check your wireless router, if it is working properly and then plug in to correct on your TV.
•Now you go to 'Settings option' to select the 'Network option'.
•You will arrive at that page has all your wireless connection information on it.
•The 'Status' option will be indicated that if the device is connected or not.
•If there is no connectivity on your Roku, it will shows like 'Not Connected'
•Then Check the 'Signal Strength' if it is displayed as 'Excellent'.
This is another solution:
To reboot the Roku player:
• Go to Settings option.
• Click on System option and then press "System restart".
To Restart the Roku TV:
• Go Settings option to choose "System".
• Under that press Power and then "System restart".

At what stage is there an issue? Does it fail to detect signals? Does it detect signals but refuse to connect? Does it appear to connect but you still cannot use wifi enabled features?

You probably have a slow internet connection. It is recommended that you have a minimum 25/25 Mbps connection from your provider. If you do then the Roku might be too far from your wireless router. Try to move the router closer to the Roku if possible. The best way to watch streaming video is with a wired Ethernet connection with a Roku 2 or other wired device.
