Yes, I am on my third motor in a SU 4/ Sirius is brutal to deal with. All of the motors are **** and they are always back ordered. here in Canada the distributer change around 2008. They are through Maroline and a crappy company to deal with unlike the othe people in Oakville. Service sucks for such an expensive and beautiful stainless hood. How can tell which lower motor mount is bad on my 2004 chevy impala 3.4 liter ? Does a bad motor mount make the engine have grinding noises after running the car?

With the park brake on, start the engine with the hood open so you can see it through the windshield. Put it in reverse and give it some gas, if the engine moves up, you have a broken mount. Do the same in drive. If the motor moves up then the mount on the side of the engine that moved up is broken. If these tests don't show a broken mount then your grinding noise is coming from elsewhere.

Whirlpool mircowave making grinding noise

The grinding noise could be from the turntable motor, or the fan. Remove plate from oven and put a cup of cold water in, set for 30 seconds and run the microwave, if no grinding is detected it means the turntable motor is near end of life. If there is no change unplug microwave and remove top check the fan mounts tighten if loose, if straps are tight suspect the fan motor.

Hood fan is turning on and off by itself, won't stay on or off.

What devices in the room were checked. A vent hood will sometimes run on what is called a humidistat, and anytime it senses high humidity it will kick the vent fan on. Check to see if this is the issue, if so and this hasn't happened before try changing the humidistat.
