Question about Cell Phones
As far as I know, Metro is a CDMA wireless carrier, T-Mobile is GSM. Your Samsung SCH-R820 works on CDMA, which don't need a SIM card to work. GSM technology does need a SIM card to work and make calls. As you can see, there is no way that you can use a CDMA phone with a GSM wireless carrier.
There are new high tech phones that works both, CDMA and GSM, these are called World Phones. Sorry, and best of luck.

You used to be able to get the unlock code for free as long as you had loaded / used £30 of credit. Call their customer service they may still do it? They would post the code to your home with instructions to follow. Let us know how you get on?

When My Phone Did That, I Took It Into Metro And They Sent It In A Replaced It With A New One, The Guy At Th e counter Said That This Is A Common Thing And That Sometimes If You Download Anything From Your Phone Like From Funformobile.com Or Something, Or If Someone Sends Them To You From Websites Like That It Voids Your Waranty And It Causes That. I Hoped This Helped You, So Just Take It Into Metro And They Should Send You A New Phone Within 4-5 Buisness Days.
