Question about Audio Players & Recorders

Open Question

Wurlitzer 1015 cd

Sound works good except it does not play in stereo. Both switches on the amplifier are switched to stereo mode. The switch on the outside rear is switched to stereo mode. While both speakers are playing, only the left control knob in the rear is working the right & left speaker. The right control knob does nothing. I have checked all of the fuses and all are OK. Any help would be appreciated.

SOURCE: Rear left speaker not playing

If the speaker itself is working then the problem will most likely be the connection point where the speaker plugs into. If you dont know how to check for this problem, i dont really want to tell you just in case you hurt yourself. Take it to a shop and have it looked at by someone thats knows what there looking for.

SOURCE: Sound Won't play

We had the same problem with our last rca stereo. I don't remember what model it was. My husband took it apart and found that there was and area on the circuit board that was fried. I don't know of any other solution then the one we chose. Trash it. I'm not expert but I would imagine that you could by a new stereo for the price of replacing that circuit board. Just don't buy an rca. They are junk. Our new rca just quit playing cds.

SOURCE: wurlitzer 1015 problem

Most likely the main fuse inside the wurlitzer itself - situated screwed into the lower right hand side of the amplifier panel.

SOURCE: sound from only one channel

If there is a headphone output on the unit try listening through it to see if the sound is in both channels. If so,it is likely a dry / fractured solder joint on or near the jack connector. If not it could point to a failure of the digital -> analogue convertor IC chip.

I have a 1962 Wurlitzer 1015 which has a Selection and Credit computer for coins credits. There was this Auto mode which used to be able to use but now, the jukebox can only operate one disc at a time. ...

It would not be 1962 as CDs weren't invented.
Continuous play is achieved by flipping the Continuous Play switch on the right of the computer. Or using the Option button on the remote control. One or the other plugs into GREEN plug on the left side of the computer. If the plug is off it won't work.

Is the switch for the Gripper motor On? There is a switch near the turntable. After that it gets complicated. Bascially it is waiting for the gripper motor to work, so either the switch, the computer or the motor are not doing what they should.

I purchased a used Wurlitzer 1015, question When selecting number 51 is a code number 82 and does not play can you explain me this, what the problem is thanks

The number of Cds in the carousel can be set on the Credit unit to stop it playing fresh air if for example you only have 50 Cds and not a whole 100. Sounds like yours is set to 50 so won't play anything over 50.
I 'think' this is what you do.
On the computer credit unit...
Service Switch ON...Press LT button.
Press 5 on the keyboard once.
Enter 0000
Service Switch off.
Press LT or turn machine off/on.

Jukebox lights work - when turned on the record carousel does not reset and the LED display does not work and records do not play

The problem could be the selection and credit computer or possibly the K7 switch actuator. I can repair the computer and I stock the K7 switch actuator. Please email tech@wurlitzer-ohio.com

IM TRYING TO COVERT MY WURLITZER 1015 OMT CD JUKEBOX TO PLAY MY IPOD WHAT DO I NEED TO GET.

To make the jukebox automatically switch between jukebox CDs and the IPOD source, you'll need the background music adaptor. I have these in stock, but need to know which amplifier is in your machine, as different amplifier types require different BGM units. Please email tech@wurlitzer-ohio.com

What is the code to enter for random play and/or background mode?

If it isn't a very early OMT then there is a switch on the right of the Credit Computer which says Continuous Play on it. Flip the switch and the machine will play random selections.

Amplifier?
Could be many things.
Check connections from the cartridge to the amplifier, check the mute relay switch (silences amplifier while changing records).
Volume control disconnected, dirty, or turned down?
Speaker connected, all connections to and from the amplifier OK.

This amplifier is over 50 years old and could need to be rebuilt. The original capacitors in it are paper and wax and break down over time. It's usually not the tubes, despite common misconception.

If you're not handy, it's time to bring in a pro. Have them give it a lube job, too. they need it just like a car or any other complicated machine.
