Sensor goes off when you hit a wall

Every time you hit a wall or go from carpet to wood floor a sensor goes off. I have to turn it off and then on again. Driving me nuts.

It is probably because you are not supposed to hit the wall with the vacuum you are hitting the power switch which shuts the cleaning unit off

I would not recommend using a carpet cleaner on wood floors. Too much water can damage the wood.

Are the nylon roller carpet cleaners safe to use on laminate wood floors

Why not. Laminate floors are very tough. Just make sure that all of the nylon roller wheels are very free turning and that none have anything embedded in them that can cause possible scratching.

Just bought a DC33. Multi-floor.It is very hard to push on the carpeting. It is fine on the wood floors. Is there any way to adjust it higher for the carpeting. It is dense carpet not high

There are no floor settings for this unit. Since the brush is spinning, it will create more resistance when running over the carpet.

How to fix wheels that raise and lower the beater bar

Hello! The M085845 has an automatic height adjustment that cannot be manually changed. There is a roller lifter assembly that helps to raise and lower the nozzle depending on whether the vacuum is in the upright or reclined position. You do not have to make any adjustments to the vacuum when going from carpet to hard floors. The brushes will continue to spin at all times when the vacuum is in use. Hope this helps!

Can you advise which setting should be used on different floors, ie hard floors and carpets, theres 2 different settings and I don't know which setting should be used on the different floors

Turn the machine on and look at the bottom. Turn to the two settings. The setting that stops the platten wheel from moving is for hard wood floors. If you cant tell, then setting 1 is most likely for carpets and 2 is for hard wood floors. Your machine is primarily a carpet vacuum cleaner, so 1 should be for carpets.

I bought Roomba 560 robot vacuum cleaner about 3 weeks ago and it has been cleaned without problem all kind of positions of floors (also carpets) Last friday I anyway mountained nearby of outcoming door...

Roomba won't clean black carpet because it interprets it as a cliff. The sensors under the bumper tell the Roomba that it's about to fall down the stairs and it backs away. Unfortunately, because they're a safety feature, they can't be shut off.

Beater Bar Does not turn

YOU MAY HAVE A POSSIBLE BAD BELT OR THE MOTOR THAT RUNS THE BAR MAY BE BAD, THE OTHER POSSIBILITY IS THE SWITCH THAT TURNS ON THE BAR MAY BE BAD. OR A WIRE COULD HAVE COME OFF THE MOTOR. i THINK YOU DO KNOW THAT THE BEATER BAR DOES NOT RUN WHEN ON WOOD FLOORS.
