Since it appears that you still have your wired connection you need to go here ->

http://us.acer.com/acer-v2/service.do?LanguageISOCtxParam=en&miu10einu24.current.attN2B2F2EEF=3750&sp=page15e&ctx2.c2att1=25&miu10ekcond13.attN2B2F2EEF=3750&CountryISOCtxParam=US&ctx1g.c2att92=453&ctx1.att21k=1&CRC=2054404012

to download the Qualcomm wireless driver software. You can then unzip and install the driver.
I would first go into Device Manager and uninstall the wireless driver if it exist to remove any leftover software. Tt should be under the network in Device Manager. If it is not there do not worry about it just install the new driver you downloaded.

To begun the process....
1. power on the netbook while it is plugged into its AC adapter

I have an Acer aspire one netbook. As soon as i turn it on, it shows the first screen that is black with ACER on it, but it just freezes there. I can't access the computer unless i press F2 and exit setup....

Looks like there is something wrong with the registry database of your computer. Best way to fix is to clean Windows registry using some reliable software such as Reginout and start your computer normally. Also do the following.

> Limit your startup programs

> Uninstall unwanted programs

> Disable background running services

try this it sometimes works. 1. Start Registry Editor (Regedit.exe). START > RUN > (Type) REGEDIT (and hit ENTER) 2. Locate the UpperFilters and LowerFilters value under the following key in the registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{6BDD1FC6-810F-11D0-BEC708002BE2092F} Write down the upper & lower filter valuse. Delete the UpperFilters and LowerFilters value (it's safe, and if could be restored later on if you have written it down, so don't worry)

Acer Aspire netbook has "system not fully installed"error message

There is no easy fix for this. It would need a registry edit to fix it and without having a CD Drive and an XP install CD to boot to, it is pretty much impossible. I would suggest you send it back.

Wish I had better news. Thanks!
