SOURCE: Machine slows down, stops, starts again. Foot control problem?

Yes it does sound like a faulty foot control. The power cord is probably fine, you just need the controller. Ebay is a good source for parts.

SOURCE: My machins slows to a stop

We had the slow issue and it was the foot pedal. But, rather than replace the pedal I disassembled it, cleaned it, then found a little adjustable pot (resistor). I used a tiny screwdriver to adjust the pot and the speed increased. I noticed that there is a slot in the bottom of the pedal housing that is for accessing the pot without disassembling the pedal. My wife sewed a dress after the repair and so far it is working as it used to.

Sewing Speed slowed down then stopped. The motor seems to have the power it needs but will not turn the gears fast enough to sew. Any thoughts what might be the cause?

You didn't state the make/model of your machine. If it is a mechanical sewing machine, it probably could use a good cleaning and oiling. If the old oil has solidified, it is sticking the parts together and preventing them from moving. Do NOT force the motor to try to run the machine until you get a resolution to the issue or it could burn out the motor.

My brother model 732 machine's lamp blew as I was sewing. It has now decided to stop working all together. Any ideas what the problem might be??

The machine may have experienced a power-surge and fried the whole thing. If that's the case the lamp blowing and the machine stopping would occurred very close together.

Sewing machine stops sews a minute slows down or stops then starts up

I suggest having the machine checked at a sewing machine shop
to see if there is something wrong with the motor, or the foot pedal
but first check to make sure the power cord & foot pedal are
connected correctly

White model 1563, Runs very slow .

If the machine turns easlily by hand then the problem is probably the foot control. If it is hard to turn it may need to be lubricated.

My singer touch & sew suddenly didn't stop

There might be something jamming the petal open so it won't slow or stop when you put your foot on it.. I would try that, get some canned air and blow it out and see if it helps.

Machine wont move

I just found out that if you still have the bobbin winder on, the machine won't turn at all. So make sure that you have the winder slid over.
