May 29, 2011 - Navigation map DVD disk read error - Suzuki 2007 XL-7 question. ... The only correction I've seen for this problem is to replace the radio itself. ... Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time ... Navigation system at Yukon xl 2008does not read the map DVD.
If your using copies then some dvds wont read them even if the old one did, sometimes its a gamble if it reads or not, if your using a master then i would have them check it out, it may be bad or need programing, it funny because sometimes it will play a copy and sometimes not, thats what i've run into. hope this helps.
You've got 12+ volt constant to radio as well as 12 v+ switch and wired properly If I read that correctly? Any light up of stereo, time, stations etc? Have you tried temporarily, to hook-up an alternate speaker to one of the speaker terminals, without hooking into speaker harness on vehicle? What I'm getting at here is that some/a lot, of those systems go to an amp then on to speakers, so it may be an amp problem as well. This link below may be of some help as well. http://www.the12volt.com/installbay/stereodetail/1824.html
I don't see many bad sensors I would co to an auto zone read code if its a vss ck connevtors & wires at sensor does the trns shift if not ck the purpple & green wires
possible problems- aftermarket add on is not hooked to acc side of the power and is hooked to a all the time 12 volts(ex. radio, amp, of fog lights) other problem is your alternator is not keeping up with your power demand(hook a voltmeter across the battery when the car is started and everything that you use is on and see if it reads at least 13 volts)...hope this helps
