SOURCE: Brother Machine!

The reverse mechanism is stuck. The machine has to be completely disassembled to get to the problem. It is usually not a big deal to get it "unstuck" but taking it apart can be a pain. A good machine tech. can do it easily or you can give it a shot. Just look what the reverse lever actuates and see how it is stuck in the reverse position. It is usually the stitch length/reverse block.

Are you using the right size needle and thread? Also, check tension recommended by your manual. Let me know if that helps, because I can ask my sister who has that machine

I dropped the dog foot on my brother nx-400 and now it will not raise back up. Is there a schmatic chart where i can see if something is broke?

Hi,the first time I lowered mine the same thing happened. The machine was due for a service so I explained the problem. The engineer explained with a grin -- the come up automatically when you have switched over and start sewing again ---blush !

My new nx 450 says f04 on the screen when I plug it in and nothing functions. How do I fix this?

Did you check the manual? In the back it will outline what the number/code stands for. Do you have it in twin needle mode? If you don't have a manual, try going to the brother website to read the manual. You can go to my website and click on machines and it will take you right to brother. good luck

Hi. Yes, it's true. Brother does have self-oiling sewing machines (I have a Brother CX-8060 that's also self-oiling.)

I have a Brother NX-200 that keeps locking up with an error code E6. I have cleaned all lint from the shuttle and needle area. It began sewing again and then locked up on me again

Power off.

Remove the bobbin and bobbin case. Recheck the area around the shuttle for thread snips.

Power on.

If the problem continues you will need a professional to check the machine - It may need a more thorough cleaning than what the mfg allows the user access to or a new sensor.
