If nothing whatever happens when you turn on - no lights, no fan noise then the power is not getting through. This could be a dud power socket (but I guess you checked that). The on/off switch usually isnt! It is lonked to a relay switch and the link may have failed, or the relay failed. Or else of course a power supply failure.

You need to remove the case (can be tricky) check where the 'ON' button is on the front, and track what happens on the other side - it may be a plastic rod to a switch or a relay.

If you know what you are doing, you can check for continuity with a multi meter

I have a V2 premier computer and I want to do a factory reset how do I do that

So a V2 looks to be a mix match of parts. Most factory resets are done from a F key pre OS boot. When the pc starts up and you see the logo screen "splash screen" of the motherboard manufacture or Bios screen if thats disabled look to the bottom right hand corner. It should display to hit F10 F11 or F12 to go to restore.

Need power button for v2 premier

In most cases you can't just get a button, you need to buy a new computer case. If you're handy, you just need to put the parts in the new case the same way they're in the old one.
To help, you can go to the manufactures web site and get a manual to help.
A new case can be purchased from Newegg.com for as little as $20

Using a V2 PREMIER winXP my vga monitor will not display says" anlog signal" Do I need your monitor ? to display or can a get avga to work

I'm using an HP 2009m LCD monitor. (TFT, and 20 inch widescreen) No, you cannot have my monitor higgie2, lol!

FixYa is a product support website. FixYa provides solutions to problems with the Viscom V2 Premier computers, but is not directly associated with Viscom.

[ When a computer sends out video signal information, it is in the form of digital. When using a VGA monitor you are using an Analog monitor. The computer has to convert the digital video data, (video Information), into Analog ]

Pull up a chair, and grab a cup of coffee, or a pop. This is going to be long. Warning you in advance.

When No Analog Signal is displayed on the monitor it means the same thing as No Signal.
No video signal.
The monitor is working correctly, it just isn't getting a video signal from the computer.
Could be due to;
A) The monitor cable is bad
B) The computer isn't working

Computer isn't working usually due to a bad Power Supply. Weak voltage power rail.

LED lights will light, and fans may spin, but the Processor isn't turning on.
Not enough power.
(This is why it can seem as though the computer is working, but in reality it Isn't)

1) ALL of the LED lights on at one time use less than 1 Watt of power

2) EACH fan uses 2 to 3 Watts of power.

3) A typical Processor can use 51 to 125 Watts of power. Depends on what Processor it is.

The Viscom V2 Premier desktop computer uses an ECS P4VMM2 version 8.1 motherboard.
(ECS = Elitegroup Computer Systems)

The ECS P4VMM2 motherboard supports Intel processors that use the Socket 478 processor socket, and have a Front Side Bus of either 400MegaHertz, or 533MHz. (Front Side Bus = FSB)

Can use Intel Celeron processors, or the better Intel Pentium 4, or Celeron D.
(With the above FSB specifications)

http://www.ecs.com.tw/website2008/Product/Product_Detail.aspx?CategoryID=1&DetailID=436&DetailName=Feature&MenuID=24&LanID=0

Click on the Specifications tab

The Intel processors the ECS P4MM2 v8.1 supports are listed in CPU Support.
Click on the CPU tab.

The Intel Celeron and Celeron D processors that meet the above criteria, and are supported, can use up to 73 Watts.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_intel_celeron_microprocessors#.22Willamette-128.22_.28180_nm.29
(Scroll the page down also to view all of the supported matching processors)

The Intel Pentium 4 the ECS P4MM2 v8.1 supports can use up to 89 Watts.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Intel_Pentium_4_microprocessors#Willamette_.28180.C2.A0nm.29

(Scroll the page down also to view all of the supported matching processors)

Point of all of the above?
To show you what processors are supported, and the Maximum Wattage they can use.

Again, this is why you may see LED lights lit, and fans spinning, but No Analog Signal on your monitor.
NO processor operating.

No processor operating, no computer.
No computer operating, No video signal to the monitor.

Solution is to replace the Power Supply.
(Also use a can of compressed air for computers to clean the inside of the computer out)

I would also advise removing the Ram Memory module/s ('Sticks'), and cleaning the gold plated contact pins on the bottom, with a pencil eraser. use air to remove the eraser dust.
(You can use air from a can of air if available, or air pressure from your mouth will be sufficient)

Remember, BEFORE working on the computer,
1) Computer on a table
2) Computer unplugged from power
3) Observe Anti-Static Precautions

For further questions, or if you need advice in replacing the Power Supply, or guidance in choosing one, please post in a Comment.

joecoolvette
