Question about Frigidaire PLHS67EGSB Stainless Steel Side by Side Refrigerator
Previous owners had plastic hose for the water and found the water was tasting bad. We brought the fridge home and replaced the plastic pipe to copper and replaced the filter, but the water is still smelling and tasting bad (mouldy/mildew).
It is very possible this is not an incoming water problem. The water can get the taste and odor from the air inside the fridge Try to clean around and you can use baking soda to neutralize any contaminant on air. Good luck.

Hello Maria, this is JK. I understand that you recently purchased a pre-owned refrigerator. Changing out the filter and the tubing were a great start to clean water. If you have not already, I would encourage you to run 10-12 glasses of water to freshen the supply and rinse out the tank. If you find that this odor and taste still persist, you may want to have the water tank replaced. Hope this helps!

SOURCE: water taste bad
Hello, does your unit have a water filter? Has this been replaced? If not I would remove the filter - flush the unit by dispensing as much water as you can to get fresh water into the system. Do you use the water much? Once you flush it, I would keep flushing it every time you get a chance for the next few days - without a filter in it and then replace the filter. Do you have well water or municipal water? Check the line in the back of the unit - anything unusual there? Good Luck, I hope some of these suggestions help you! Dr. Know

If you have a silver metal braided line to water source that is your problem. Replace mine with a braided vinyl line and it cured it. ps flush new line for about two minutes.

Replace the water supply line with plastic tubing or copper. Do not use the braided metal or vinyl line as they will cause an odor problem.

use a 1/4 in nut and ring this is a very common connection. most lines will have the nut on the line .. some friges use a J Q connection on the valve and you will just have to push the line into the socket till it bottoms and your done. very simple . mm hotp this helps .. the water line pt # for your model is 218976409 and does use a 1/4 line connection and if your use this your will need a 1/4 in line coupler to connect from this line to your copper line . mm feed back pls ..
