This is not just a density sensor, this is a plastic cover over it that is getting stuck. There is a piece of soft rubber attached to the solenoid that is getting very sticky over time. Removing this rubber and stretching solenoid return spring corrects the issue. Search web for the service manual and follow chapter 8 to disassemble the printer correctly - takes less than 10 minutes to do it

Printing spots vertically in 2 areas on both sides of paper. no manual and can't get into it online - how do I clean whatever needs cleaning?

Open printer and remove the cartridge and check t see if there is toner spilled inside. These types of defects are often caused by a bad toner cartridge. If you do see toner inside, you can wipe it up with a soft cloth or a swiffer if you have one. Do not use a standard vacuum to clean it as the toner dust is so fine it will get into the air and into your lungs. Try a different cartridge. You may have to print 050-100 pages to clear the defect.

My samsung ml 1610 laser printer is working but in printing pages or not clear.. in toner drum are pour by some black dust at every print even though i clean it again it come.. but still my printer not...

The problem may be the toner cartridge itself. You may need to get a new toner and clean the printer, again. Once the printer is clean re-place the new toner cartridge.

My prints are coming out very faded. There is a new drum unit installed and all toner cartidges have toner. The black is down to about 22%. What is the problem?

Open the side door and remove the toner bottle. You will then find a small blue item which will slide out. Clean the dust off the central clear area and this should improve print quality.

Red colour toner replaced Cartridge with a new onebut still no print coreect. Replaced the Yellow colour toner Cartridge with a new one but printing is not clear.

this problem regards the head of the catridge. u have to do clean due to dust it may happenlike that. u clean inside with the cotton cloth on the print head and refix the all color catridges. when u remove ur catridge u have to close all the sides due to avoiding dry.
the second reason when u purchase ur catridges, check whether the catridges are valid date.

My printer prints dust particles with the print ducument

Before your printer prints a page a small blade runs across the toner drum to clean it before the next page is printed. If the blade is broken or not functioning then you will get some toner particles on your paper. So you need to get it repaired at the local computer and repair shop. Remember it's just the blade so if they try and add some other stuff tell them no, just fix the blade...Good Luck and let me know if you have any questions. Printer won't print black

Gently roll or shake your black toner cart.
when you do not use the printer on a daily/weekly basis, the toner dust compacts in the bottom of the holding area of the toner cart, and can sometimes cause these problems.

Fatal error 163

Fatal Error 161-Toner Sensor Error, Color:Magenta
When magenta toner sensor error has occurred

Fatal Error 163-Toner Sensor Error, Color:Black
When magenta toner sensor error has occurred

Both are Sensor errors....You would first check the lock levers that hold the toner cartridges in, if everything is fine with them then you could possible have toner dust on the sensors. First take out the cartridge that you are having problems with, then use a dust off can and carefully clean out any axcess toner that you can see where the toner sits. there is a sensor that looks like a clear plastic or glass eye that reads the cartridges and it sometimes gets dirty.

Printed pages look dirty

That black dust that fell out is the toner. When you shake a toner cartridge that shouldn't happen. It looks like you have a faulty toner cartidge and that need to be replaced! Now to make your printer prints cleanly and clearly after you replace the cartridge, you'll need to get someone to service the printer(the faulty toner cartridge more than likely spilled toner on your internal printer parts, cause the smudges). Sevicing would mainly entail, taking down the printer and removing any spilt toner! If you feel you are up to this, be cautious, because toner can be hazardous to your health if you accidentally breathe it in! hope this was helpful! regards babb
