SOURCE: 2003 yamaha 115 outboard motor that dies when

I would check your fuel lines from the tank all the way to the fuel pump. It seems that you might have a pinched line somewhere. You can also bleed the fuel rail with the schrader valve on the end of the rail. If that wont fix it then you probably have a weak fuel pump.

SOURCE: i have a LZ250TXRB outboard, and it will not go

Sounds like the engine is in "limp mode". I would take it to a dealer so that they can pull up any faults that are flagged on the engine.

SOURCE: yamaha 115 will not shut off with key or kill switch

not enough information on the motor. what year and model? but all yamaha outboards are shut down by the C.D.I. being grounded by the key switch or the emergency kill switch. the cheapest thing to test or replace is the key switch and the emergency kill. with more info on engine I can help you further.

SOURCE: my evenrude mo# te150gleis starts but idles rough and wont get the boat to plane what are some possible issues to look at thanks

Put in some "sea foam" fuel additive and see if that is a help, I've also cleared some gunk running the choke while at full throttle (unless this has the enrichment system). That creates a great vacuum- and may **** the remainder of stuff from the jets. Otherwise you will have to rebuild your carbs.

If you can find the idle jets, remove them and put carb cleaner directly in the holes - then re seat them and adjust in the water for best idle.

Check your compression and spark for possible ignition issues and old "run hot" damage.

115 yamaha sho vmax over 3500 rpm it reves up and down under 2400 it stays even rpm. 2017 yr.

If your 115 Yamaha SHO VMAX outboard engine is experiencing RPM fluctuations at speeds over 3500 RPM, it may be due to a few different factors. Here are some things to check:
  1. Fuel supply: Make sure that the fuel supply to the engine is consistent and free from any debris or obstructions. Check the fuel filters, fuel lines, and fuel pump for any signs of damage or clogging.
  2. Spark plugs: Check the spark plugs to make sure they are clean and functioning properly. If the spark plugs are worn or dirty, they may cause the engine to misfire at higher RPMs.
  3. Throttle position sensor: The throttle position sensor (TPS) sends a signal to the engine control module (ECM) to adjust the fuel and air mixture. If the TPS is not functioning correctly, it may cause the engine to fluctuate at higher RPMs.
  4. Air intake system: Make sure that the air intake system is clean and free from any debris or obstructions. Check the air filter and air intake hoses for any signs of damage or clogging.
  5. ECM software updates: Check with your Yamaha dealer to see if there are any available software updates for the ECM that may improve the engine's performance.
If you are unable to diagnose and fix the issue on your own, it may be necessary to take the engine to a professional technician for further diagnosis and repair.

Replace the mecanical fuel pump! The membrane is leaking.
If you're 'good' in mechanics, change the diaphragm only/ Part 68V-24411-00-00
You'll find the pump on the camshaft cover.

Yamaha 115hp 2 stroke Outboard Boat Motor. Went fishing and the boat ran great on the way out there, and when I cranked up to come in the boat wont go over 2000rpm's without bogging down. Fuel Starvation/...

is it carbureted or fuel injected? are your warning horns working? if it iscarbureted then a few easy test can be done to find out. if its fuel injected then its a little harder but not impossible.(1) check compression. without the year model I'm giving you a average numbers. all cylinders need to be over 100 lbs and equal each other within 5 lbs.(2) check spark. use a spark gap tester all cylinders should jump a half inch gap. if you have good compression and good spark fuel is the problem nine times out of ten. clean fuel lines replace primer bulb and replace all fuel filters. Yamaha has a gravity filter under the engine coul. take it to the lake if no improvement. clean carbs. same test to be and fuel system service used of fuel injected engines. if no improvement in engine preformance then you will have to take it to a dealer to test with computer.
