Check for internal circuit breaker, fuses, or disconnected wires. Smell for burned electronics, bare wires (Insulation). Look for any gears or belts attached to the motor and check for anything that could bind up the movable parts from turning.

My matching viking 6570 is suddenly not working it does not move

I assume you are referring to a Viking 6570 sewing machine.
Ensure power is getting to machine is light working?, is the motor trying to move when you press the pedal? if you hear noise that it is trying to move the mechine is blocked try gently turning by hand if still does not move then machine has mechanical issue or is blocked with threads or dust
When was machine services or oiled as per handbook?
If there is no no sound from motor but machine has power and turn normally by hand this would indicate either the foot pedal switch or the motor is broken and probably needs replacement. Try with another foot pedal first if possible

I have a husqvarna viking 5610 and it was an auction find. The reverse button doesn't work at all. It won't go in or anything. I've looked inside the back and it doesn't appear that...

Try setting the machine in direct sunlight with the back cover off and let it get nice and warm. It might even need a little assistance from a hair drier. Warm the area directly behind the reverse button. If you can get it to move a little, you will see which parts are moving. Use Tri-Flow on these parts and they may come loose without having to take it in for service. DO NOT USE WD-40 or 3-IN-1 oil. Go to a bicycle shop and get a small bottle of Tri-Flow liquid. If that won't work, any authorized Husqvarna Viking repair center should be able to take care of it for you. Don't force anything too hard. If you break anything, you may not be able to find parts as they are no longer available from the manufacturer.

I have a husky lock 936 the machine says overload i cleaned it out top and under the plate. i turned it on and it dose the same thing.overload what else can it be.

If the handwheel can be used to turn the machine and it rotates fairly easily, you probably need a new motor.
If it doesn't turn easily, lubricate as directed in the owner's manual. If it doesn't free up, find an authorized repair center @ http://webservices.us.vsmgroup.com/DealerLocator.aspx?Brand=Viking

I have a Hoover 550 MB Top Loader washing machine . The cycle won't move from wash to spin . it doesn;t progress out of wash cycle , it stays there forever .

Will the unit spin if you manually turn the timer dial to spin? If so, remove power, remove the clock motor from the timer, and inspect the clock and mating timer gearing for debris or damaged gear teeth. At the worst, replace the timer. You may be able to scrape or file the damaged teeth so that the timer will progress.

I have a Husqvarna Viking 2000 SL and it seems there is a short in the cord. The machine has power because the light turns on, but the foot pedal does not work. Any suggestions?

The first thing to check is the pedal itself. If you have a continuity tester you can check to see if a connection is being made in the pedal when it's being stepped on.

You can also turn the handwheel back and forth while you step on the pedal with the power to the machine on. If the motor starts to run a little bit, you know the pedal is good and the motor carbons will be bad.

That machine's rear cover over the motor comes off somewhat easily, so you could also check the connections in the electric terminal where the foot control plugs in. Make sure to have it unplugged when you do this part. Gently move the wires near where they connect to the terminal block and see if any are loose. There are screws there that tighten onto the wires that sometimes loosen which would make your pedal not work.

1002LCD Husqvara Viking Serger Frozen

If you can't turn the handwheel on the side at all you need to be very careful. If the two loopers are crossed and you force the machine you will be looking at a rather expensive repair bill. Open the front cover and do a visual inspection, making sure nothing foreign is inside the machine. If the handwheel turns easily and the only problem is electric, check the front cover. If it is not closed all the way the power to the motor is cut off for safety reasons. Hope this helps.

Washer

If I'm not mistaken, these dishwashers are built by Asko for Viking. If thats the case then you probably have a bad circulation pump. Under Asko's warranty (not sure if Viking is the same) these pumps are covered parts and labor for 3 years from installation date, and 5 years for the part only. The pump is accesed from the back of the machine,so you have to pull out the dishwasher. Then you remove the lower plate in the rear and the motor at the very back center is the pump. You remove it by turning it about a 1/4 turn either clockwise or counter clockwise, depending on the style, then place the new one in and turn it to lock it in place, being careful that the sealing oring stays in place or youll get a leak. The part will probably cost you around $150 unless viking marks theirs up more than Asko. Good Luck!
