Hello.. I have a tv lcd LG 37LC7D that power off itself...too on stand-by power off itself...

I also have this problem, which I'll try to explain in full, as the previous poster didn't add much.

To begin, this TV worked wonderfully for a couple of months. One day, the unit just powered itself completely down. It did not power off to standby, instead all the lights on the unit went dead. After a cursory glance online, I noticed that someone else had experienced the issue, and simply unplugged the unit for a few hours and plugged it back in, and it began to work again. I unplugged the unit, as I read, and left it unplugged for 8 hours while I was at work. When I returned home, I plugged the unit back in, and it worked perfectly... for a month. I've had to do the same routine for a few months, but the issue has escalated a bit in the last few days. The unplugging trick no longer seems to do it any more. When I plug the unit back in, it blinks the green on light for a second, and then bumps back off completely. I'm going to gut it this weekend and see if I can find a loose connector, and perhaps try a new power supply. Any other thoughts would be appreciated.

Sounds like a Main Board problem.

if you still have it and its a 37lc7d, ill buy it for parts 706 322 4379 regards, mark

I noticed that the power cord was loose on the back of the unit. I removed it, and plugged it as snug as it would fit. It seems ok now.

I want to replace the power supply on an LG 37LC7D-UB.AUSVLMM TV. I can't find the part #.

Below is a couple links for the board you need, shopjimmy is out of the board and personally I'd wait tell he gets one in, ordering boards on eBay is kind of risky, a lot of people stripping TV's that are laying along the road or where ever, the boards are taken out and sold, figuring at least one board is good in the set where shopjimmy actually tests the boards and will help if you need it...

LG 37LC7D 37 in. HDTV LCD TV My screen seem to over heat, Goes blank, but TV is still on. then comes back on for a few seconds, then again blacks out

It sounds like a problem in the high voltage circuit. Had a similar TV set which had the same problem. When there's power leaking from the high voltage circuit, these TV's will tend to cycle on and off. Voltage leaks are mostly caused by accumulated dust for the most part.

Hello sir, hi, most likely your TV power supply board has bad components already. You need a replacement PS board.

LG 37LC7D 37-inch 720p LCD HDTV

Unplug it for about an hour to let it reset itself and try again, if it still has problem then you will have to open it up or take it to the repair shop. The power supply module will have to be looked at first to make sure all the voltages are present. Right now the 5vdc standby power supply is working and may be partially function processor.

37'' LG lcd tv, no power

I just want to clear things here.
The stand by light will remain on whenever the tv set is turned on by a button on the side of the tv.

Then use your remote to turn on the tv, but wait as it can take 10secs before you get a picture.

I have a lg 37lc7d will shut its self off

When it shuts off does the power light stay on like the unit is still on?If yes,try shining a bright flashlight at the screen and see if you can see any video. If you can your power and main boards are would then probably need an inverter board or panel. If it is shutting completely off you need a main total assembly since you have already replaced the power supply. The main total assembly is avery common issue on lg lcd tv's.
