Question about Ricoh Aficio SP C222SF All-In-One Laser Printer

With colour output from a Ricoh SP C222SF Aficio I'm getting lines through all colours, from print and photocopy. Do I need to replace toner, or clean something...? Suggestions welcome!

Are the lines dark or light? You can try replacing the toner to see if that clears it up.

Also, go into the user options -- if you see a setting for something like "toner save mode" turn it off. That can cause poor copy quality and is sometimes turned on by default.

You need to call service technician to fix the MFP because might some drum or developer box be damaged and should be replaced.
There is nothing you can do by your self

Pull out your toner assys and look at the drums on each the should look clean under this is the belt that transfers all the colors it also should be clean, the last possibility is the fuser these are all maint items. Have you tried to check the maint items? (menu OK machine settings OK Supply info) or Menu OK machine settings OK TB clean.

My Ricoh Aficio SP C420DN Laser Printer shows color tone SC366 and some time SC365, any ideas?


You just have a problem with colour PCU (SC 365 - magenta, SC366 - cyan). The main reason is that toner density is abnormal. Sometimes, when you replace toners, printer receive to much toner for a short time, and after that you have an abnormal toner density (higher). You can check in service mode (hold up and down arrows for 6-7 sec, release them and press ok button) following thing :
choose 2. engine
then with arrows choose 3. process
then choose Vt display,
for each color by default there should by somewhere arround 2.4V. If you see for some colors, for example 0.02V, then this is a problem(to much toner). In this case the only thing that you can do is to restart printer and try to print enough pages, filled with problem color. Usually you can print max 3 pages. Then restart printer and try another 3 pages. Print until the you will be able to print at least 4 pages continuously.
Good luck and remember that this is a technical problem and you should ask someone qualified for the job. I am sure that 80% of service engineers can't repair this issue. But I can.

Take out all of the toner cartridges, give then a gentle shake from side to side, then put them back in. Shut the front cover and the printer ought to do a calibration cycle because you have replaced the toners. It does not know you have just taken them out and put them back in. All it detects is that there were none and now they are there, so does a calibtration.

My Ricoh Aficio SPC811DN printer keeps asking me to replace my PCU colour all the colour carteridges are over half full what do i have to rplace


The PCU is the drum unit. There is one for each colour (C,M,Y & K). Each PCU has a 'life' and the machine will ask you to replace it when it has reached the end of its expected life. The PCU life has nothing to do with the amount of toner that you have in the cartridges and they need to be changed independantly.

SC300 on a C222SF is a high voltage power error. You could reseating the connectors for the high voltage power supply and the engine board (EGB), but more than likely one of those two boards will need to be replaced.

Ap3800c will not print the colour it sees


So the quality is good, it's just not "exactly" like the screen? It never will be "exact". Depending on what you're describing, if the colour is off, it could need the drum(s) or Development unit(s) replaced to improve the quality; however, if your just talking about "matching" the screen colour, you could line up 100 different printers and you'd get 100 different outputs....it's not an exact science. Perhaps you're using a generic toner vs. the OEM brand, this would change your results too.
There are also 3 different printer "languages" (drivers) that the printer can print with: RPCS, PCL 5c, and Postscript 3. All of which will give slightly different print qualities. You may want to try installing a different driver than you're using, and you may prefer the output. Postscript 3 is the best in my opinion.

Fine Coloured streaks on printed page


The most common problem is the photo conductor unit. What ever color the line is change that unit. The Photoconductors are a customer repalcment item.

Hi There,

print out a page from windows paint program of cyan, magenta, and yellow. see which colors are incorrect. that will help you get closer to the problem area.

the drum also may not be screwed in all the way. remove it, and try putting it back in again.
