Question about Steinberg Cubase SX3

Can't export song as audio mixdown on Cubase SX

Hi,
I've been using Cubase SX for six years and never had this problem before. This morning the export function has just stopped working. I exited Cubase and restarted my computer but it doesn't seem to have solved the problem.

Does anyone have any ideas as I'm a bit stumped on this one?
Cheers
Eoin

I had this same problem, only it was after a reinstallation. Fixed it by changing the Output in the Audio Mixdown settings box to
"BUS 1 (Stereo)".

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Hi i use cubase 4 for the past week but have found several times that when i save the song in a folder on my pc running xp 3 only the audio doc is there not any audio files? please help me..!!

you need to render the track. If you push save and select a folder the project is saved to the selected folder. If you render (or export) the track it will be saved as an audio track.

Transfer your files on cd

You need to convert t5he files to .cda format for audio only and NTSC for television. A good way to make an audio cd is to do it through windows Media Player. It is very easy to use. Just find the button for burning to CD and follow the instructions.

Hope This helps

Cubase REcording/Playback Problems

check first the sample rate maybe its to high like instead of 44k. its in 48 96 or something like that so the buffering isnt catching with the recoding . alogn with your lattency configuration must devices are ok in 512 latency.
and also be shure not to be recording directly to tyour external hard drive
in case of plugin overload issue it would not stop recording suddenly it would slow down first with some crackles and then stop or must shure freeze.
so impretty shure its somethin else.
hope it works

good luck

Burn CDs from Tascam US-122L

The answer is yes, but it may not work as simply as you think. You can't just save your Cubase file / mix and then send it to your recorder. You'll want to render down the song you have to one stereo .wav file and send that to burner as a wav file. (That's the quick way). Another option is to render each file you have seperately so acoustic guitar, bass, vocal, etc are all seperate tracks. So the answer is yes, a .wav file is the format for audio cds. You'll record your seperate tracks and then you'll have to mix down, render, or export them when you are done. In Cubase, use "export".
