I have the same problem as http://www.fixya.com/support/t269476-bendix_washer_dryer_door_open but the solution does not seem to work for me.
I have searched and searched for a door release after removing the screws in the bottom right.. but cant find anything (plus my arm isn't small enough to feel all the way through to the door).
Is there another solution out there please? Mine is just the front load washer model WMT127T.
Thanks in advance

- My bendix WMN1273T front load washer has completed its washing cycle. but the indicator light in the open door button is lit orange and will not allow the door to open.
The clothes are still stick inside. I have tried many different combinations of wash cycles and am now just wanting to open the door and get the clothes out if possible.
I have cleaned the filter checked all the plugs.. The washer seems to work properly except for not opening the door when completed. Thanks

- I tried the things you suggested.. not sure excatly which procedure worked as I had to do them all a couple of times.. but it opened in the end.
Thanks you for your help.
The door will not release or open If the program is still running and door lock has not release ( the"door"light is still on). Also the door will not open if water is still present in the tub,you must to drain the water it in the filter area,so it will open the door,if not we do other procedures.First set the machine to pause by pressing the start pause button. If the door light flashes and after 2 minutes goes off, then the door can be opened. If still cannot be opened you switch the machine off by turning the selector dial to "O" after 2 minutes the door can be opened. If not the there is something wrong with the sensor that commands the mechanism to open the door .If the sensor is fine then the mechanism is jammed you must access the door mechanism. It is the only way to open.
- If you think your washing machine may be faulty, check the following points before calling a Service Engineer. These checks could prevent a charge being made for the Service man's visit if the machine is found to be in perfect working order.
Initially check the filter on your washing machine and clean if necessary, your manual should detail this procedure.
If your machine will not start or complete the programme, check:
The plug, the socket and the switch, if necessary, with another appliance.
The fuse in the plug.
That the door is closed.
That a programme is accurately selected.
If water will not enter, check:
The hot and cold hoses are correctly connected to the relevant caps and that these are turned on.
That a suitable programme has been selected.
If water will not drain, check:
That the outlet hose is not kinked or raised more than 40° from the floor.
If you wish to remove articles when the water will not pump out, place the end of the drain hose into a bucket on the floor and allow water to drain out by gravity, noting that more than one bucketful may be present. Hook the hose into the sink again and try the spinner before removing the articles - if this fails most of the water can be baled out with a cup.
If the above method fails to remove the water then the pump is probably blocked - do not open the door, but contact your nearest Service Engineer.

when we set our wdr 1040w off on a no.4 cycle it starts to fill the drum,it clicks to move forward within the cycle but nothing happens. The drum does not rotate either. Have tried running on a spin cycle and the drum still refuses to rotate. Prior to this the drum has become more noisy than normal, I think the bearings were on their way out ! It is probably about 5-6 years old and used nearly every day with a family of 2 adults & 2 children.
