Acer Aspire 3610 - "C" drive full -- FAT32 error - HELP

Hi.
Complete computer tech novice.
Everytime I turn the computer on it takes about 10minutes as the "FAT32" has "malfunctioned".
Also, I constantly get a notice saying low disc space on "C" drive but I have removed all the programs I installed, music and photos - there is nothing left.
Please, in laymans terms can I fix this without the expense of going to a computer technician? Or is it beyond repair?

Sounds like either you have corrupt system files or viruses that are not allowing the operating system to run properly.
when you first turn on the laptop hold down the ALT key and keep pressing F10, if it works then this will take you into the factory restore partition and you can bring your system back to factory defaults like it just came out of the box.
if that method doesn't work then If you have the cd's to your laptop you'll need to restore your laptop back to factory defaults doing it this way.
