I need to make sure I am using the right oil for my brothers Husqvarna riding mower. Do I use SAE 30? It is a riding mower Model # LOGTH2448T. The engine is a Briggs and Stratton Intek 24 Twin OHV (?)

Kohler uses 10w-30 in most of their overhead valve engines

Yes SAE 30 is the recommended oil for B & S engines. You can go to your local auto parts store and get oil from them you don't need special oil from the MFG. Just be sure that you don't over fill the crankcase; use the dip stick to let you know when it is full. Most B & S engines on lawn tractors use about 48 ounces of oil.
