Principles of Operation
The instrument cluster and panel illumination consists of dimmable and non-dimmable illumination components. The dimmable illumination is controlled by the instrument panel dimmer switch, which allows the brightness level of the backlights to be adjusted to the customer preferences. With the parking lamps ON, the instrument panel dimmer switch uses electronic circuitry to provide a variable pulse width modulated (PWM) output to the instrument panel and all applicable switches depending on the driver-controlled level of intensity. The headlamp switch backlighting consists of 2 constantly illuminated LED bulbs that are powered by separate circuits. Battery voltage is supplied to the first bulb when the ignition switch is in the RUN position. Battery voltage is supplied to the second bulb with the parking lamps ON. The non-dimmable illumination allows for full intensity dependant on the ignition switch position.

Pinpoint Test B: The Instrument Cluster Illumination Is Inoperative
Normal Operation A variable pulse width modulated (PWM) voltage is supplied to the instrument cluster through circuit 29S-LA31 (OG/BU). The instrument cluster is grounded through circuit 91-GG14 (BK/OG).

Wiper control module location on a 2000 f250


Did you check the wiper relay's in the under hood fuse box ? There are two ,wiper run/park relay & wiper high low relay ! Also ,did you check fuse's ? fuse # 11 - 30amp location cental juction box . The wiper switch is a input to the GEM module . Generic electronic module . The module in most cases isn't the problem ! Learning how to test these electronic systems is , people do not know how to test so they just replace parts . What they should do is take the vehicle to ford certified Technician who has the knowledge and testing equipment to find an fix it .

The generic electronic module (GEM) receives inputs from the following:
  • multifunction switch
  • anti-lock brake control module (vehicle speed signal [VSS])
  • ignition switch
The GEM uses these inputs to control the outputs to the following:
  • windshield wiper high/low relay
  • windshield wiper run/park relay

I want to take out the high beem fuse for a 2003 buick regal... I lost the car manual


Two fuses HDLP L fuse #36 15amp & HDLP R fuse #32 15amp ,located in the under hood fuse / relay box. One is for Left - low an high beams an the other is for right side low an high beams . What's wrong , no high beams ?

Did you replace the battery with a new battery, or one known to be good? With the CORRECT battery? If the new battery's polarity is opposite the original battery, you probably destroyed the phone. The same thing may have also destroyed the charger.

It looks like you will need to open them up and look for a loose wire in both earpieces. Also, while there, check to see if the batteries are in correctly relating to polarity!

If you switch the battery polarity correct it. You wil have fusable link that has opened. Go to the engine juction fuse box right near the battery and inspect for open fuse and replace with the same amperage . You also stated switches polarity so this means you have a volt meter so use the voltmeter to test each of your fuses

This may be just a case of inadvertently hitting the window lock out n th driver door window switch by mistake. Check that first. Here's some background on window operation

Principles of Operation
The driver power window regulator motor is controlled directly by the master window/door lock/unlock switch (and its integrated "auto down" module). Power is supplied to the power window relay and the master window/door lock/unlock switch, and the passenger power window switch when the SEC/timer module grounds the coil side of the power window relay. The SEC/timer module will ground this relay when the ignition is in the ON position and will remain energized for approximately 15 minutes or until the driver or passenger door is opened.
The driver power window regulator motor is a reversible motor that is operated by applying power and ground to the motor leads to lower the window, and then reversing polarity on those leads to raise the window.
The passenger power window regulator motor is controlled directly by the passenger power window switch and can also be controlled by the master window/door lock/unlock switch. Power is supplied to the power window relay and the master window/door lock/unlock switch, and the passenger power window switch when the SEC/timer module grounds the coil side of the power window relay.
