I have 2005 mitsubishi galant v6 transmission stopped working while driving every gear is like im in neutral. Transmission never slipped or anything

First thing to do is check the transmission fluid level and check for leaks. If the transmission is very low on fluid, for example a cooler line broke, it would cause this situation due to no pressure. If you do not see any outside leaks, but transmission fluid is very low, check your radiator overflow tank, if it is overfull and milky, this would mean the Trans cooler that goes through the radiator is leaking fluid into the coolant system.

Where do one add auto transmision oil to a jeep grand cherokee 3.7l petrol model and what type do one use

The transmission on this truck is sealer, it doesn't have a fill tube or dipstick. To add fluid requires a scanner be hooked up to monitor fluid temperature and a special fill port used under the truck to add fluid.

Why is oil spill on the floor and the exhaust tail pippe and the bus is smoking

You probably have a valve cover leak. Oil is running down the engine on to the exhaust system. It's very dangerous.
You probably need to have the valve cover gaskets replaced. Other things to also check: see that you PCV valve hose is not leaking, and that your transmission dipstick tube (if you have an automatic transmission) is not leaking. Oil coming out of either of those can also get on the exhaust system. Finally, you may have leaky front or read engine seals, or you may have leaking hydraulic transmission fluid spilling from cracked hoses or fittings.

Oil dipstick pops up when riding bike

Hi Anonymous, either the rubber bushing/seal on the dipstick is shot or your oil tank is overfull. Try running 8 oz. less oil. Good luck

1999 HD Softail standard was leaking oil from the side oil tank opening on the side of the bike, what could the cause be ?

Hi Anonymous, the engine oil dipstick on Softail and Sportster models is located on the right hand front side of the oil tank and the Harley Bible says, engine should be at normal operating tempurature, let idle on jiffy stand for two minutes. Shut off engine and hold bike straight up and dipstick all the way in, correct engine oil level will be at the top full mark. Do not overfill oil tank as this will cause engine breathing issues. On Dyna and Touring models The engine oil dipsticks are located on the right front top corner of the transmission and the engine oil pan is underneath the transmission. The engine oil level is checked in the same manner as Softails and Sportsters. If you are having oil carryover or breathing issues (dipstick launch) try running oil level half way between the add and full marks, running the engine at this oil level will not harm normal operation. Good luck

Can low transaxle fluid prevent transmission from working?

Yes low fluid level can cause loss of hydraulic pressure in the transmission and that makes for no engagement, but the level must be really low, it would not show on the dipstick or at the fill point if you checked it.

My car over heats constantly..the coolant tank was empty and i filled it up and days later it wus empty again...and i checked for leaks and none were found

If no leaks are present pull your oil dipstick out and if the level is overfull and foamy you may have a bad intake/head gasket blown especially if it has over heated severely. If this is the case the gaskets will need replaced and probably the thermostat too as it is the cause of the over heating. Please rate this answer, thanks.

Transmission oil foaming and pushing out of dipstick tube during normal transmission operation. Transmission has been serviced - oil & filter replaced with OEM components.

Has the suction filter been serviced? And what transmission oil have you used? Is it John Deere hydraulic oil or hydraulic/transmission oil? Does the tractor have a loader?

I have a 2001 ford windstar with the V6 engine, when traveling for a long distance I started to get Transmission oil leaking and when the car cooled down it was fine......I was told the filter could be...

Where is the oil actually leaking from? If it is from the bottom of bell housing the leak is from the oil seal on the shaft at the back of the torque converter. This is transmission out job to get at it. It is best to have this fixed as the low fluids that will result from the leak will result in poor torque converter performance and then to worn gear clutches ruining the whole transmission. As an interim measure it is possible to top up the autobox when it gets low by adding the right (really important that it is right) fluid via the transmission dipstick tube (NOT the engine oil dipstick tube).
