Speaker problem I own a PalmOne Tungsten E2, one day, it happened that there was no sound coming from my earphones, i then found out that the phone jack had removed when i opened it. i tried fixing the phone jack back but one of the legs of the jack had broken. Now i want to use my E2 without headphones but my speaker wont work. When it was working fine, if you insert an earphone into the phone jack the speaker stops working until u remove it. now that the phone jack is bad, how will i get my speaker to work?

Inside the PalmOne forlder in Program Files, find a folder that is named the same as you Hotsync ID. A flash drive would be the best idea to transfer the files over to the Mac. Some flash drives don't work on Macs, so try a few.

Make sure your connection settings are right, obtain latest version of palm desktop at http://kb.palm.com/wps/portal/kb/common/article/33529_en.html You may use USB, Infrared or Bluetooth as alternate hotsync methods

you gotta do a hard reset. i had the same problem. go to the palmone website and look up how. make sure you back your stuff up in case you can't get things back. once you perform the hard reset the error should go away.

You need to download palm desktop and hotsync manager from the palm website. Totally free. Found at.

If you said you have the software (desktop), your doing it backwards. Run the desktop software by going to my pc and running the disc. The software will then ask you to plug in your E2 so it can register it. It will then synch and your in business. Had E2 for a very long time. Can tell you things that guy can do that would surprize you. Have everything but unit now.

Windows xp comes with MP9, most want Media Player 10 or 11 to sync mp3/ipod/etc.

E2 has a great battery might not be it. Its not easyly replaceable like in some other models.

the battery can be replaced by a professional or by yourself.

The pda should work on charger? does it work while pluged in?
If it doesnt work while its pluged in theres something more seriour wrong with it.

You can try soft and hard reseting.

If you cant open pdf files you need to find yourself pdf reader, google pdf reader and get one.

If soft or hardreset have any effect and the device still doesnt work even on charger then it has a hardware issue and I recommend contacting palm or the place where you bought the pda and findout about repairs and possible price, may be high.

Got to the control panel, add/remove programs. Remove PalmOne if it appears there and try again.
