Code B0936 what is it

b0936 - When engine coolant is at the proper level, the low coolant switch is closed. When in this condition, battery voltage is applied to the low coolant 1478 input of the body control module (BCM).
When coolant is below the proper level, the coolant switch opens. Because no voltage is applied to circuit 1478, the BCM responds by sending a serial data message to the instrument panel cluster to turn On the low coolant light.
The BCM has an internal timer, which will not turn On the low coolant telltale unless the coolant level is low for greater than 30 seconds. The timer avoids coolant "sloshing" falsely turning On the light.
B0936 Coolant level sensor circuit malfunction .
Check for poor connection at BCM. Inspect harness connector for backed out terminals, improper terminal mating, broken connector locks, improperly formed or damaged terminals and poor terminal to wire connection (terminal crimped over wire insulation and not conductors).

Inspect wiring harness for damage. Check for broken or chafed insulation.

Check for poor connection at the low coolant switch.

If fault is suspected to be intermittent, wiggling harness wiring may help in locating fault.

On 2006 Suzuki aerio I put new battery in and lost all powers , have I blown a fuze?

Recheck both terminal sure black cable (ground) to black terminal on battery, red cable (positive) to red positive terminal on battery. If connections are clean and tight, you should be able to generate the motor/starter turning over, and all lights work...If you still do not have any power, the posts (dirty) or new battery is defective...(a broken terminal inside?

Battery terminater is brokken and caused car computer to burn out. What can I do to fix it?

for a quick fit just to take you from where you are to the nearest garage changing battery it is as follows. If you can find a long metal screw try to screw through the broken piece of the terminal from top center going through and then go by the battery where the terminal was broken and continue to screw on the base of the terminal. Be careful not to have a very long screw and get through to battery itself. just to be long enough in order to tight by joining together the broken terminal. connect your wire on the terminal and start the car. are you sure you have a burnt computer or is just not starting and is your opinion about?

84 goldwing aspencade 1200a while cranking motor ran battery down ..charged back up now turn ignition on apply clutch hit the starter button and nothing have heard a click in the resistor a couple of...

If you heard a click when the starter button was pressed but the starter did not run then the problem most likely lies with the starter solenoid or the starter itself. Check the starter itself by connecting a heavy jumper cable from the positive of the battery to the terminal on the starter motor. If the starter cranks, then the starter is okay and the problem is the solenoid switch.

When performing the above check, first make sure the bike is in neutral or the clutch lever is pulled. When you make the connection with the jumper cable there may be some sparking because the starter draws a lot of amps.

To check the solenoid there should be 3 or 4 terminals on it. There will be one or two terminals that have smaller wire/s attached and there will be two larger ones that have a positive wire from the battery attached and the other one connects to the starter positive terminal. Connect the negative terminal of a dc voltmeter to the bike frame and the positive lead to the terminal on the solenoid with the small wire attached. (If there are two small wires, one of them connects to ground and the other one comes from the starter button.) If you observe 12 volts at this solenoid when you attempt to start the engine the the problem is in the solenoid or starter. Since we already checked the starter then the problem would have the be inside the solenoid switch.

IF YOU DO NOT see 12 volts at the small terminal/s of the solenoid when you attempt to start the engine then the problem is an open in the wiring path between the battery positive and the solenoid switch. This could be the ignition switch, a loose, broken or burned wire, neutral or clutch interlock switch or anything else in that wiring path that is open.

Change battery on 2005 nissan frontier wont start

Hi, If the problem is associated to you replacing the battery, then it could be a few different things. 1) Is the replacment battery fully charged? If not, charge and retry. 2) Are the positive and negative battery cables connected correctly to the battery? With this you have to be sure that you have a good connection to each battery terminal. Try removing the cables and taking a wire brush to the terminals. Once clean, reconnect them and try to start again. 3) Is the positive cable broken? If broken replace the cable. 4) Is the negative battery cable broken or properly connected to the car? If broken, replace the cable. Good Luck!

Iv got an k5 blazer 1983 model. Iv got power from the battery to the cylinoid but after that their is no power running through the rest of the engine!

Hi Amywallace,
Open the hood and check the cables going to and coming from the starter motor.
There should be the heavy cable from the battery and fitted onto the large terminal of the starter motor. There will also be a thin cable which is connected to the push on terminal
In addition to the thick cable which connects to the battery, there should be another cable, or maybe even two, which are a little thinner, connected to the same tower (The bolt which the battery cable fits onto)
If I'm correct I suspect that the ignition line has broken off....
Have a look and I think you'll see a loose cable close by....Reconnect it and you should be away.

If you can cause the engine to turn over by shorting out the solenoid then it is OK.Your problem is probably that there is no power getting to the solenoid from the ignition switch. Connect a test light to the control wire at the solenoid and turn the key, if it doesn't light then follow the wire back to the switch looking for a break in the wire. The wire casing may not be broken while the wire may be open inside so feel for soft spots where wire may be broken. Check your ignition switch is sending power to this wire when in start position, the switch may be faulty.

It could be a broken fuseable link in the battery cable, you can replace the battery cable the fuseable link is usually on the positive cable. It could be just a bad connection at the terminals in the front try cleaning both of them first with like a wire brush or 100-150 grit sand paper on the terminals metal surfaces.

Have a Vtech 6058 toy laptop need to know how to reset

From your query, I guess the problem lies on the battery terminals or wires connected to the battery terminals. Did the old batteries leaked? If it did, the battery leak must have reached the wires inside your computer and corroded the connections. If you are a DIY person, you may open the bottom of your computer by taking out the phillips screws, around 10 (not so sure). Locate the wires connected to the battery terminals. Reconnect the broken connections (better to solder them if you can). Hope I helped you with your problem. Good day...
