Question about Maytag MDB7100AWB Dishwasher
I have the above integrated dishwasher (six years old). We didn't use it for a while and when we started it up again it seemed to have stopped heating up and wouldn't go through the cycle. My husband discovered that the control unit had burnt out and we got a new one. He put this in and everything seemed to be ok and we had a full wash complete as normal. However the following day when we tried it again it seems to be doing nothing now, ie it is just burring/clicking away and not doing anything. It is now sitting with water in it and won't drain either. He says that all the lights on the control unit are lit up now (not just one). He wrote everything down as far as wiring is concerned before changing the unit so is quite convinced it is not that. Has anybody got any suggestions or should we just be looking at replacing it.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

when in the wash phase, listen for a low hum near the wash pump. if you hear this it indicates the wash pump capacitor is faulty or something jammed in the pump.after that you will have to access the wash pump and check if there is any supply to it

you have a wash pump problem. can be 1 of 3 things. most likely something is caught in the pump impelor if not the wash pump motor may be faulty or ceized or it could be the capacitor for the wash pump motor is faulty. you can try removing the wash pump yourself and check the impelor if it spins freely then you will have a motor problem.
hope this helped

SOURCE: Leaking dishwasher
More than likely it is the soap dispenser lock arm gasket or it could be the jet dry container o ring gasket.Either way it is an easy fix just remove the inside door and remove the jet dry tank and silicone around the threads and replace. The lock arm gasket can be easily made if you take your time and use a good gasket material,I don't believe the gasket is available through the dealer. The door gasket very seldom goes bad but its the first thing people replace.
