Is it when it is draining the water ?

Sometimes when the DD is filling back up the pipes will hammer for a split second . Also it can sound a bit abnormal when they start to pump whater out , check all the hoses are not damaged or kinked in anyway .

Cheers

The basket drive and the drive block will need replacing. The nut that holds the basket to the drive block may have come loose causing the drive block to 'jump' over and damage the tabs on the basket drive that causes the thumping as the spin cycle ends. To repair, you will need to purchase a basket drive and drive block. The agitator, balance ring, basket and transmission, will have to be removed in order to replace the basket drive. If less than 3ys old, consider contacting whirlpool for possible warranty concession.
